Meerut College is affiliated with CCS University and has a mix of old and new structures. BCom department runs in a very simple, but functional building. The campus is green and spacious, and even peaceful, but classroom facilities could definitely be more modernized.
The BCom curriculum is very vast and covers all the key aspects pertaining to commerce. Faculty knowledge is good, but their teaching method is very old-fashioned and may not be liked by everyone. Self-study and other sources are required to gain further understanding.
Placements for BCom students are very less. Their attention is more on doing MCom or professional courses like CA and CS. The college doesn't help in getting internship or industry relations which is a flaw
The course is pretty affordable compared to private institutions. It delivers quality education within a budget. There is also scholarship available from CCS University to the students who could get eligible for it.
It is a safe and an inclusive campus as a girl. Cultural events, and commerce fests keep taking place in intervals. Extracurricular activities could be much more sorted out, specifically for the students in commerce. Decent option for good all-round undergrad experience.
The college infrastructure in very poor condition. The entire campus gets flooded during rain, and sometimes due to this condition a holiday has to be declared. The washroom facilities are in short supply. The college should concentrate on building proper, hygienic washrooms.
All professors are highly qualified and experts in their own fields, with most professors holding PhDs from IITs. However, a few professors can sometimes be a bit monotonous, and at times, they seem less enthusiastic about teaching.
Our college doesn't provide placements for any course because it is not an engineering college. College merely concentrates on providing degrees, and no recruiting companies come there for placements. Students should get job opportunities by their own.
As it was funded by state government course fees are comparatively less.
The infrastructures of the B.Com course at CCS University are pretty good. Classrooms are not so flashy and more on the basic front, while the library had a fairly good stock of books concerning commerce. As a whole, the campus doesn't give that modern and happening feeling and projectors, smart class, etc are less frequent.
The B.Com syllabus includes the fundamental courses in accounting, economics, and business law. Though the course is well designed, it's more theoretical. The teachers are knowledgeable but usually tend to follow traditional teaching methods. Workshops or practical sessions would make learning more vibrant.
The placements for B. Com students are not so strong as most would prefer higher studies or prepare for competitive exams. There is only some local company that will take people into accounting and sales; the student must source internships for himself. Networking and external skill building are important.
CCS University takes a very cheap fee for B. Com students when anyone needs to study and does not have money. The educational quality regarding this amount is not excellent, but it remains true that to get excellent job opportunity positions, they depend on other courses or certification courses.
Campus life is pretty much simple and traditional. Sports events and cultural activities do create campus, but there is relatively lesser high-tech or contemporary activity. It's an excellent place for those students who like a more streamlined, no-frills academic experience.
CCS tag is very impressive in his own. Student need to maintain it what I feel
The campus life is generally very vibrant and fun, with lots of clubs, including tech clubs, sports clubs, personal development clubs, and networking clubs. The campus offers excellent sports facilities, hosts numerous events throughout the year.
The faculty is approachable and cooperative about any doubts that come before them. The exams, as expected in a government institute, are moderately hard, and the marking is not very lenient. They have two minor exams along with practical exams and end semester exams.
Placements in this college are decent. Many students get placed with a reasonable package. The average package for the 2023 placement session was around 3 LPA approx.what to expect from government college
Yes it is value for money .
Campus life is worth living.
The college has a little old-world charm with spacious classrooms and a very peaceful atmosphere which is ideal for focused study. The library is decent, but the computer labs for B.Sc. CS require better up-gradations. Students often depend on self-study for advanced topics
The B.Sc. CS programme has a sound base in terms of programming and databases, though the syllabus is outdated. The faculty members are knowledgeable, but the practical sessions are limited. Normally, the students interested in the subject have to look out for other sources of information as well.
Placement options for B.Sc. CS are very limited. Most of the students opt for further studies or seek internships on their own. It would be good if college had tie-ups with all major tech companies, thus helping the students to get some better opportunities.
The college provides an affordable education for those who look for cost-effective learning with fees. Although the facilities are simple, the academic foundation gained by students makes it worth paying for when they take their own initiatives in studying.
Campus goes vibrant during the festival season and event period. Besides, it is very possible for a girl to get around campus without a problem and stay safe and be well. However, it does not promote technical or coding events like it could improve the experience of CS students significantly.
The college is renowned for the heritage campus in which the infrastructures are obsolete. Classrooms are well-ventilated but not equipped with modern teaching aids, like projectors or smart boards. The library has a good collection of academic books and journals. However, reading spaces are not well maintained. Facilities such as restrooms and drinking water need improvement to enhance the experience of students.
The BA course has very diversified subjects like Political Science, History, and English. However, the curriculum seems traditional and not suitable to the latest ideas in academic or career-oriented needs. Professors are well-versed but majorly focus on theoretical teaching. The opportunities for practical or skill-based learning are very limited,
Placement opportunities are limited for BA students at Meerut College as the college is more interested in teaching and course completion than preparing students for jobs in the industry. Most of the students look forward to further studies or preparation for government jobs rather than waiting for campus placements. Career counseling or job fairs particularly targeting arts students will be a welcome addition.
This course is highly affordable and becomes available to all the students regardless of their economic background. The value for money of the overall program is average mainly due to a lack of modern facilities and very limited career support. Improvement in teaching methods and services in terms of career management would enhance the worth of the program.
Campus life is just normal. There are many good food-serving canteens, and even benches are there every half km walk. There are recycled materials-based artistic props for design, which makes the campus amazing at night.
Casual because that time is gone in corona
It was good made during britishers We have a central library Many books are there and are very high educated faculty and helpfull , no pressure of attendance even support students in other activities.
Teachers are very good very knowledgeable and helpful , the classrooms are very neat and clean, labs are very huge and have each and every instruments and the area of ground is very huge even the lab faculty is very supporting.
No placements as it is a government college but you can do your masters degree and get a good placed in government sectors or clear net or jref exams and have a good and bright future , also you can prepare yourself as professor by doing phd degree.
Good in this one
Not great
College infrastructure is quite good, our college constitutes a historical significance, there are so well maintained greenery areas such as parks and gardens , our departments of each subjects are very well maintained and also research labs for study
Teachers and professors are very supportive and care taking in nature provides all the relevant content for us and also library is so useful and tremendously maintained and also you'll get very knowledgeable professors
Placement in professional courses is quite good but for degree program it should be improvised in degree program there's no such proper maintained placement cell which should be implement in my opinion
Very affordable college for each economically category and yeah kind of worthy as an degree college
There are many memorable moments in campus and also I get new and good friends also use to learn so much life values .....
Over all rating for that college is quite impressive and good....
College infrastructure doesn't meet your expectations, with a lack of essential facilities like Wi-Fi, smart boards, labs, libraries, and sports centers. The quality of food and hygiene is also a concern.
It is a pity that classes are not regular and the teaching quality is below your expectations, especially when you are doing B.Com to polish your accounting knowledgeIt seems that problems prevail regarding the quality of education imparted and lack of teacher interest in your government college
College has no structured placement process, not to mention regular classes or a training and placement team to work with the student population to get them into positions at one of these respected companies.
Yes,it is value for money as my fees was approx 10k for 3 year because it's a govt. College.
Our college has various facilities, such as smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a playground that adds to learning. The most notable facility is the library. It contains a vast collection of books from different domains.
The professors possessed good communication skills and were well connected with their students, creating a friendly environment while learning. It actively encouraged students to take part in any discussion and was very supportive in helping them understand the material better.
The college does not currently offer placement services. Unluckily, I don't have any information about placements for the students. However, to get accurate and updated information, it would be advisable to visit the official website of the college.
