Metropolitan Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata, is one of the very few institutions that impart homoeopathic education in West Bengal. The college follows a structured and well-defined admission procedure based entirely on merit. Admission to the Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) course will be on the basis of the NEET score. The academic calendar runs in sync with that of the NEET examination held once a year. A candidate must qualify in the NEET examination for the year of admission concerned. The admission process under the West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee (WBMCC) is open to all candidates.

The eligibility for admission to the BHMS course requires the candidate to complete the 10+2 course in Science or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects. In addition, the candidate has to obtain the minimum qualifying percentile as prescribed in the NEET conducted for that year by the regulatory body. Degree-wise Admission Process

BHMS (Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery) : The BHMS course at Metropolitan Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital is a full-time programme lasting six years. The jurisdiction for this programme is 50, meaning these many students have been admitted every year, and the admission is strictly on the basis of NEET results. The admission process consists of the following steps:
