Mechanical Engineering involves design development and up-gradation of products, systems and processes in every walk of human life.The B.Tech-Mechanical curriculum includes essentials and principles of physics, mathematics, core electrical and electronic subjects with an interdisciplinary approach. Eligibility Criteria
The Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects securing aggregate 50% marks.
Secured minimum 50 % marks in the subjects Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject for Maharashtra State Open Category Candidate (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.
Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only)
International Baccalaureate( IB) Board: The candidate must have been awarded IB Diploma or the IB Diploma Course (i.e. IB Certificate) as a qualification for entry to the professional course at the institute and is required to have passed the subjects of Physics and Mathematics at Higher Level (HL) with a minimum score of 24 credits. For admissions to Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering and Polymer Engineering students must have passed Chemistry also at Higher Level. Students awarded the IB Diploma should also have completed other mandatory requirements (like CAS, TOK, and the EE) towards the award of IB Diploma.
Admission Details
Admission is based on Inter-Se-Merit based on the score in MHT-CET and Inter-Se-Merit based on the score in JEE (Main) for seeking admission in All India Quota.
