Mumtaz College of Engineering and Technology (MCET), Hyderabad, has various engineering and management courses. Mumtaz College is under the affiliation of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Admission process of MCET is geared to choose the deserving candidates for its different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The major entrance test for MCET admissions is Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) for engineering courses. For MBA courses, the college takes scores in the Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET). These entrance tests at state level are held every year, with the exam dates being intimated by the concerned examination boards.
For B.Tech courses, the candidates should have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics as compulsory subjects. For the MBA course, the candidates should have a bachelor's degree in any subject. Application Process
Application procedure at Mumtaz College of Engineering and Technology is as follows:
1. Appear for the right entrance test (TS EAMCET for B.Tech or TSICET for MBA).
2. Clear the entry test with rank in cutoff marks as stipulated by the college.
3. Apply for counseling at state-level by the authorities concerned.
4. Select MCET and intended course at counseling.
5. On being allotted a seat, come to college for document verification and finalisation of admission.
6. Complete fee payment and admission procedure at college.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Tech: B.Tech programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Internet of Things, Cyber Security and Block Chain Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Civil Engineering are conducted by MCET. Courses have admissions on the basis of TS EAMCET scores. The total intake for B.Tech programs is 240 with 60 seats in CSE, AI & ML, and IoT, Cyber Security & Block Chain Technology, and 30 seats in both ECE and Civil Engineering.
MBA: MBA program with a 60-seat capacity is provided by the college. Admissions to the MBA program are carried out through TSICET scores. Those who pass TSICET may also be admitted into the MBA program offered by MCET.
