Bachelor of Legislative Law (LLB) is a three-year full-time program in Law offered by Shivaji University, Kolhapur with the approval of the Bar Council of India (BCI).

The Bar Council of India has prescribed Three Years Law Course for any graduate. Students who have passed Second Year of the Three Year Law course will be qualified to obtain LL.B. (General) Degree while the successful completion of Third Year of Three Year Law Course will qualify them for LL.B. (Special) Degree.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Admission for this course is available to any person who is a graduate of a statutory University or possesses such academic qualifications which are considered equivalent to a graduate degree of a University by the Bar Council of However, a student seeking admission for this law course should have obtained at least 45 % of marks at the graduate or postgraduate examination. Relaxation of 5% marks in the qualifying examination is provided in favour of students belonging to SC/ST category.
  • For OBC category and others minimum 42% marks are essential. Additionally students desirous of seeking admission for 1st year of five year law course and 1st year of three year law course must appear for law CET examination conducted by State CET Cell. In connection with the same, students should visit the website wwwmahacet.org from the month of January. Minimum qualification for appearing for law CET examination is securing 45% marks for students of open category, 40% marks for students of SC and ST category and 42% marks for students of VJNT, SBC and OBC category.
