NDA or National Defense Academy Examination is a National Level Exam that is conducted each year by the UPSC Union Service public Commission for admitting candidates in National Defence Academy.
• The Exam conducted two times each year.
• After Qualifying this examination, candidates get eligible to participate in SSB and subsequently for admission in the Indian Military, Indian Navy, and Indian Air force.
• Qualified candidates will be selected for the interview, medical and other rounds.
Academic Wise Eligibility criteria is as following -
• For Air Force & Navy-
Applying candidates must have passed 10+2 class examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• For Army : 12th pass candidates will be eligible to apply.
Also Candidates appearing in 12th level are also eligible to apply.
---------- There are certain eligibility criteria that one has to fulfil to be able to write the National defence academy/Naval Academy or NDA/NA examination.
• Academic wise eligibility criteria is-
Candidates must be 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Most of the time age is the deciding factor for eligibility. Now the age wise eligibility criteria is that the candidate must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years of age.
Also for the NDA 2023 examination the DOB of the candidates for the two attempts is as following-
• NDA -1, 2023
DOB Between - 2ndJuly 2004 to 1st July , 2007
• NDA - 2, 2023
DOB Between- 2nd January , 2005, to 1st January , 2008

Yes, girls can also apply for NDA.
The eligibility criteria for this are:
1. Nationality
a) A subject of Nepal or
b) A subject of Bhutan or
c) People of Indian origin migrated from Zaire, Ethiopia, East African Countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, Burma, Pakistan, Zambia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam to settle in India or
d) Tibetan refugees came to India, to settle in India before January 1, 1962.
2. Age limit- upper age 18.7 years and lower age 15.7 years
3. Educational qualification- For Army wing- 10+2 exam and for Ari force wing and naval wing is Passing certificate for class 12th
4. physical fitness-
Should not be suffering from any minor following problems- Deviated Nasal septum
- Hydrocele, Phomosis
- Overweight or underweight
- piles, tonsillitis
- under sized chest
Height- 152 CM and 148 CM for girls of Gorkhas, garhwal and kumaon
Weight- is considered according to their height.

You have tagged NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY in your question, but NDA don't offer admission on the basis of MAHCET but for admission UPSC conducts separate examination twice a year known as NDA-I and NDA-2.
