NDA, Pune has an excellent infrastructure for the all round training of cadets and a vast array of facilities like spacious and well-maintained classrooms, well equipped labs, three Olympic size swimming pools, gymnasiums, multiple football fields, two polo grounds, a cricket stadium and a number of squash and tennis courts. The Vyas library is situated on the left flank of the Sudan Block and was named after the renowned scholar, teacher, golfer, and administrator, Mr. T N Vyas who had been the Principal of NDA for fifteen years. The library has books on every topic and the cadets can use the facility to enhance their knowledge on different subjects. The academy organises competitions in a wide range of sports and teams also take part in many civil competitions. The cadets are encouraged to participate in at least one sport each season, Cadets who excel in various sports and physical activities are awarded proficiency in the order of Merit Card. To carry out focused training in order to prepare cadets to achieve requisite physical endurance standards and proficiency in troop games, the academy has the best infrastructure and coaching facilities. The officers’ mess can accommodate over 2100 cadets at a time. Its neat exterior is matched by its exquisitely designed interiors. The double-storeyed auditorium is named Habibullah Hall, it has a seating capacity of over 1700, hosts various events such as lectures, presentations, musical evenings, debates, quiz competitions, Inter-Battalion variety entertainment programs, etc., in addition to the momentous Convocation Ceremony. Hindi and English movies are screened once a week in the Hall.
The college has a Gym facility for the students
The College library made its modest beginning in the Geography Laboratory. Today Vyas Library is situated on the left flank of the Sudan Block and was named after the renowned scholar, teacher, golfer, and administrator, Mr. T N Vyas who had been the Principal of NDA for fifteen years (1953-1968). Before being appointed as the Principal of NDA, he had been a distinguished Housemaster at Doon School and had later been the Principal of Mayo College, Ajmer. Vyas Library, in conjunction with the NTT building, resembles an anchor from an aerial view.

The College Department of Computer Science and its air-conditioned laboratories block is named after Wg Cdr Rakesh Sharma, India's first cosmonaut it is imperative for the defense forces, including the training academies, to enhance their IT capabilities to accrue maximum benefits in order to give an insight to the cadets on Network Centric Warfare (NCW). The project of networking the Academy encompasses provisioning of Optical Fibre connectivity throughout. The network is complemented by state-of-the-art servers and high-end Commercial the Shelf (COTS) equipment being housed in the Data Centre which is capable of handling very high bandwidth requirements at fast speeds. The network is exploited to its optimal capacity and the same is extended down to each cadet's cabin.
The College Officers' Mess and Institute is situated on the triangular island formed by the convergence of roads. It is also the single officer's home away from home The Mess can accommodate over 2100 cadets at a time. Its neat exterior is matched by its exquisitely designed interiors.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association. the alumni have proved to be great mountaineers, cosmonauts, sportsmen, researchers, creative writers, artists, corporate honchos, and more recently, Olympic champions. Their achievements are all-pervading and showcased in every echelon of our Armed Forces and also in the civil society.
The college provides has an Olympic-size swimming pool facility that is available inside the campus.
The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.

NDA or National Defense Academy Examination is a National Level Exam that is conducted each year by the UPSC Union Service public Commission for admitting candidates in National Defence Academy.
• The Exam conducted two times each year.
• After Qualifying this examination, candidates get eligible to participate in SSB and subsequently for admission in the Indian Military, Indian Navy, and Indian Air force.
• Qualified candidates will be selected for the interview, medical and other rounds.
Academic Wise Eligibility criteria is as following -
• For Air Force & Navy-
Applying candidates must have passed 10+2 class examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
• For Army : 12th pass candidates will be eligible to apply.
Also Candidates appearing in 12th level are also eligible to apply.
---------- There are certain eligibility criteria that one has to fulfil to be able to write the National defence academy/Naval Academy or NDA/NA examination.
• Academic wise eligibility criteria is-
Candidates must be 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
Most of the time age is the deciding factor for eligibility. Now the age wise eligibility criteria is that the candidate must be between 16.5 to 19.5 years of age.
Also for the NDA 2023 examination the DOB of the candidates for the two attempts is as following-
• NDA -1, 2023
DOB Between - 2ndJuly 2004 to 1st July , 2007
• NDA - 2, 2023
DOB Between- 2nd January , 2005, to 1st January , 2008

Yes, girls can also apply for NDA.
The eligibility criteria for this are:
1. Nationality
a) A subject of Nepal or
b) A subject of Bhutan or
c) People of Indian origin migrated from Zaire, Ethiopia, East African Countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Uganda, Burma, Pakistan, Zambia, Sri Lanka and Vietnam to settle in India or
d) Tibetan refugees came to India, to settle in India before January 1, 1962.
2. Age limit- upper age 18.7 years and lower age 15.7 years
3. Educational qualification- For Army wing- 10+2 exam and for Ari force wing and naval wing is Passing certificate for class 12th
4. physical fitness-
Should not be suffering from any minor following problems- Deviated Nasal septum
- Hydrocele, Phomosis
- Overweight or underweight
- piles, tonsillitis
- under sized chest
Height- 152 CM and 148 CM for girls of Gorkhas, garhwal and kumaon
Weight- is considered according to their height.
