Netaji Institute of Engineering and Technology, which is abbreviated as NIET, is one of the top institutions in Nalgonda that offers all engineering and management courses. The admission process at NIET is designed to provide admissions to deserving candidates in undergraduate and postgraduate courses according to their qualifications. The main entry points for admission into the institute are mainly from state-level entrance examination.

In the case of B.Tech courses, the entrance exam TS EAMCET is conducted to select candidates interested to enroll themselves in NIET campus under various B.Tech programs. For engineering students seeking admission into B.Tech programs at NIET, the TS EAMCET is an important exam; it is held once every year, and students must qualify for this exam in order to be admitted.

For MBA enrollments, NIET considers marks obtained by a candidate in the Telangana State Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET).  To establish eligibility criteria for students applying for B.Tech programs in NIET, they are to have gone through the 10 + 2 system or any equivalent examination with the core subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For MBA, the candidate should have a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.

Application Process

The application procedure for Netaji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nalgonda, shall comprise the following steps

1. Appearing for the relevant entrance examination: -

  • For B.Tech programs: Appearance in the TS EAMCET
  • For MBA program: Appearance in TSICET

2. Review of results and counseling schedule announced by respective examination authorities.

3. Registrations in the counseling process based on the cutoff declared by NIET based on respective programs.

4. Selecting NIET and a preferred course offered for admission during the counseling based on rank secured and availability of seats.

5. In the case of allotment of a seat in NIET, reporting at the institute for document verification and admission formalities.

6. Required documents submission, which normally include the following:

  • Entrance exam rank card (TS EAMCET for B.Tech / TSICET for MBA)
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Any other document as specified by the institute or counseling authority

7. Confirm the admission seat at NIET with fees paid for admission.

8. Welcoming new students through orientation and embarking on their academic journey at NIET.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: Under this degree, the courses offered at NIET are found in different specializations, some of which include Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Admission into any of these programs is based on the merit list in the TS EAMCET. The total intake across all B.Tech programs is 270 seats, which includes 60 seats each for ECE, CSE, EEE, and Civil Engineering, and 30 seats for Mechanical Engineering.

MBA: The MBA program at NIET admits a total of 60 students. Admission will be based on TSICET results. The program provides students with cutting-edge management edification and with training for leadership positions across industries.
