NIMS Institute of Pharmacy, NIMS University, Jaipur, is one of the leading pharmacy institutes, which has been in operation. It provides numerous pharmacy programs to its students. The institute uses a rigorous admission process for choosing deserving candidates for various courses. NIMS Institute of Pharmacy is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, ensuring that it has a quality pharmaceutical education.The admission procedure at NIMS Institute of Pharmacy generally occurs before the start of every academic year. The eligibility criteria differ with the program. For undergraduate courses like B.Pharma, candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. 

For postgraduate programs such as M.Pharma, a B.Pharma degree from a recognized university is required. Doctoral programs may require a master's degree in the relevant field. Application Process

There is the NIMS Institute of Pharmacy NIMS University, Jaipur. Their process for admitting applications into these premises follows:

1. Application form : The students must submit the application form, which can be downloaded from the website of NIMS University or may be obtained from the admission office.

2. Documents: In addition to a fully submitted application form, the candidates must present, 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificate respectively,

  • Graduation degree and mark sheets in case of postgraduates or doctorates.
  • Valid ID proof
  • Passport-size photographs preferably recent ones
  • Any other certificates or documents as required by the institute

3. Application Fee: There is an application fee as indicated by the institute. The institute's website or the admission office should be checked for the payment mode and fee amount.

4. Entrance Exam/Interview: A written entrance exam or an interview is mandatory for candidates seeking admission in specific programs. The admission to a few courses can be purely on the basis of scores obtained in the qualifying examination.

5. Merit List: The institute prepares a merit list based on the candidates' performance in the qualifying exams, entrance tests if applicable, and interviews.

6. Counseling and Seat Selection: Shortlisted students are invited for counseling where they can select their course of interest based on merit rank and seat availability at that moment.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: The intake of the B.Pharma course offered by NIMS Institute of Pharmacy has been approved as 100. Admission is based on the performance in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Mathematics. The duration of course is four years on average. In total, the fee for the course is Rs 480,000.

D. Pharma: This pharmacy diploma has 60 seats. All those who have passed 10+2 with science subjects can apply for this. The total fee for the two years of this course is Rs 160,000.

Pharma.D: The Doctor of Pharmacy is a six-year course. It will provide advanced education in pharmaceuticals and is available for 30 seats. The total amount for the Pharma.D course is 875,000 INR.

M.Pharma: NIMS Institute of Pharmacy provides M.Pharma courses with two specializations:

  • M.Pharma Pharmaceutics: 6 seats
  • M.Pharma Pharmacology: 15 seats
  • Eligibility for the M.Pharma course is through B.Pharma. The program duration is of two years and the fee of M.Pharma Pharmacology is Rs 120,000.
  • Pharma.D Post Baccalaureate 10 seats; it is also for B.Pharma holders. This is a three-year program whose total fee is Rs 350,000.

PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences: There are 6 doctor seats to offer research for advanced levels of pharmaceutical science studies. Entry would be by assessment of candidate master's program with or without more stringent procedures in addition.
