General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year full-time diploma program offered by the Tamil Nadu Nurses and Midwives Council, Chennai, and approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC).


Eligibility Criteria

  • 10+2 passed / pre-degree course/HSC/VHSC or its equivalent qualifications.
  • Students from the Science discipline with an aggregate of 45 % marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology are preferable.
  • No relaxation in any of the requirements under special circumstances.
  • Age limit 17 – 35 years, No special consideration.
  • Each institute must conduct medical examinations of candidates and only medically fit students should be admitted.
  • The entire program is fully residential.
