36 MonthsBachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Chemistry is a full-time three-year (Restructured and Non-Restructured Pattern) undergraduate Degree and it is offered by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.
Department of Chemistry was established in 1971 for imparting knowledge in chemical sciences at an undergraduate level. Keeping abreast with the National Policy of education the department introduced project-based learning- Analytical chemistry as a C component course under restructuring programme in 1983. The department has pride in designing the curriculum for MSc Analytical Chemistry and is Pioneer to run this course since 1987 in Savitribai Phule Pune University.
Later on two more courses Viz Organic Chemistry and Drug Chemistry were introduced for Post Graduate in 1991 and 2005 respectively. The department has nine spacious and well-equipped laboratories for conducting undergraduate and postgraduate practical courses.
Note: The Only college in the University of Pune implementing the “Restructured pattern” for undergraduate students in arts & science faculties since 1983.
A person, who have passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) with science stream or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible for the course.
