Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Raigad, which provides overall education in the fields of arts, science, and commerce. Admission in Pillai HOC College is mainly on merit; however, the eligibility varies for the course. The general trend is that college usually initiates the procedure for admission into its June-July session of academic year. 

The basic eligibility criterion for undergraduate programs is successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. The college offers 10 full-time undergraduate courses and 3 full-time postgraduate courses. The aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examination are considered during the admission process, with some programs having specific subject requirements.

Application Process 

The procedure for application at Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Raigad is as follows:

1. Visit the official website  of the college and then go to the admissions section.

2. Download and fill up the application form for the desired course. Fill up all details correctly.

3. Collect all the documents necessary for an application, which include:

  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
  • School leaving certificate
  • Migration certificate, if required
  • Caste certificate, if required
  • Recent passport-size photographs

4. Submit the application form duly filled along with all supporting documents to the college's admission office. Now, some colleges will accept online applications as well.

5. Application fee is to be paid by the student as decided by the college. Each course has a different application fee.

6. Merit basis, the college shall prepare the merit list besides marks from qualifying exam and any additional eligibility criteria may have been drawn specifically for this programme.

7. Candidates chosen through this process could be called upon to appear before a panel interview or additional test where applicable mostly to postgrad programs.

8. Should undergo the Admission procedure by the payment of an appropriate fee in the original certificate to be correctly attested;

9. to be presented at the Orientation programm and to abide by the college classes that are observed within the academic calender.

Degree-wise Admission Process:

B.Sc Information Technology and B.Sc Computer Science: Bases of admissions are aggregate marks in HSC or equivalent, and major consideration is made on science group subjects, which should include mathematics. These programs target the development of technical skills in the IT and computer science fields.

BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies): This course admits students from the arts, commerce, and science streams. Seat distribution is 25% Arts, 45% Commerce, 25% Science, and 5% Diploma in Engineering and Others. The BMS course prepares students for all management positions.

B.Com and B. Com Accounting and Finance: These courses are mainly for those interested in commerce and finance. Selection is through the marks scored in the entrance exam; again, the commerce stream is preferred.

BMM: This has a seat distribution of - 50% Arts, 25% Commerce, and 25% Science. It is for those who are generally keen on media and communication.

B.Sc Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics: The course is meant for students with a strong base in these core science subjects. Admission is purely based on marks secured in the qualifying examination for these subjects.

B.Sc Hospitality Studies and B.Sc Data Science: These are niche courses catering to the growing requirements in the hospitality and data science sectors. Admission could be subject-wise performance in the qualifying examination.

M.Com Accountancy, M.Sc Information Technology, and M.Sc Organic Chemistry: The eligibility for the above postgraduate programs is a relevant bachelor's degree. Admission is normally on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying degree and might include an entrance test or interview.
