Prakash Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and Allied Health Sciences, Greater Noida, is one of the top institutions to seek healthcare education. It provides a diverse array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in physiotherapy, nursing, and allied health sciences. Prakash Institute's admission process is designed to be inclusive and unbiased in a manner that meritorious students are admitted for different programs.

The institute follows a formalized admission system, usually in tandem with the academic year beginning in August-September. Though the dates change from year to year, students are requested to submit their applications well in advance.

Eligibility criteria differ with the course. For undergraduate programs such as B.Sc Nursing and BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy), the candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. For postgraduate programs such as MPT (Master of Physiotherapy) and M.Sc Nursing, a bachelor's degree in the relevant field is required. Academic merit in the qualifying examinations held earlier is also considered by the institute while formulating the eligibility criteria.

Application Process

The following is the application process at Prakash Institute of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation and Allied Health Sciences:

1. Go to the official website of Prakash Institute and access the admissions page.

2. Select the program of interest and download the application form or fill it online if available.

3. Fill the application form with genuine personal and academic information.

4. Attach all the documents required, which are usually:

  • Passport size photographs
  • 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
  • Graduation degree and mark sheets of postgraduate course
  • ID proof
  • Caste certificate (if required)

Degree wise Admission Procedure

B.Sc Nursing: It is an undergraduate course of four years with a permitted intake of 50 seats. Admission would be on merit basis in 10+2 with PCB subjects. The selection process can be a merit list on the basis of 10+2 marks and/or an entrance exam.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): The diploma course has 60 seats. The candidates who have passed 10+2 with science stream are eligible to apply. The admission procedure is generally merit-based.

ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery): The course has 50 seats and is appropriate for candidates who have passed 10+2. The admission is generally marks-based in the qualifying exam.

M.Sc Nursing: Specializations are provided by the college in Medical Surgical Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Psychiatric Nursing. There are 5-10 seats for a specialization. Candidates with a B.Sc Nursing degree are eligible to apply for admission. Entrance test and/or interview can be part of admission.

MPT (Master of Physiotherapy): Neurology, Orthopedics, Cardiopulmonary, and Sports are the specialties available. Qualification is a BPT degree. Admission is usually in the form of an entrance test and counseling.

BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy): Four-year bachelor's. Admission based on 10+2 marks in PCB subjects, perhaps in combination with an entrance test.
