The Pravara Rural Education Society's Institute of Pharmacy follows a selection procedure that is mainly based on the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET). MHT CET is the state-level entrance examination carried out each year for the Institute of Pharmacy admissions in the various professional courses, pharmacy being one among them. MHT CET for the PCB group takes place every year in the month of April.
Candidates who wish to get admitted to the pharmacy programmes offered by the institute must meet the eligibility criteria set by the Maharashtra state authorities and must clear the MHT CET examination. The CAP of DTE, Mumbai, handles the selection process, which means that the process is fair and transparent for all applicants.
All important dates related to MHT CET, such as the application form filling process, date for exams, issue of admit cards, results announcement dates, and counseling dates, should be followed by the applicants. The dates are announced by the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell and are used to enter the institute.

Institute of Pharmacy, Pravara Rural Education Society offers the D.Pharma with an approved intake capacity for 60 students per year. The admissions are provided through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) by the Director of Technical Education, DTE, Mumbai. Qualifiers to the MHT CET examination will undergo CAP for the seat allotment.
The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) has also an approved intake of 60 students a year. It is most probable that the admission process would be similar to the D.Pharma programme as well. The candidate needs to clear the MHT CET and participate in the centralised admission process conducted by DTE, Mumbai.
