RGCET Facilities

Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry several facilities for students and faculty members. RGCET facilities include separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels have a mess facility that caters to all the students residing in the hostels. The college has a central library present within the campus which contains all necessary books for the related courses, journals, and newspapers. The library has subscriptions to various e-resources and education societies of India like DELNET, ISTE, CSE & IEI. RGCET facilities also include a medical centre within a campus that helps the student to look after their health and a doctor is available to provide them with medical assistance whenever required. Routine checkups are conducted for the students. The college provides transport facilities to all the local students of the college. Using transport facilities is mandatory for all the students who are coming from their home or residence within the town. Other RGCET facilities are gymnasium, sports facilities, canteen, auditorium, medical facilities, Wi-Fi, IT infrastructure, laboratories, convenience store, parking facility etc.

Boys Hostel
Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry offers accommodation facilities for students. The college has separate hostels for boys equipped with several amenities.
Girls Hostel
The college has a separate hostel for girls. Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry offers hostel facilities separately for girls equipped with various hostel facilities.
Medical/Hospital
Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry provides healthcare and medical assistance to students in maintaining their health. The college doctor will be available for consultation on the college campus. Students can consult with the medical officer at any time. Regular health check-ups will also be conducted for all the students and they can see the college doctor at his chambers even after school hours. The Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, which is located near the campus provides hospital services.
Gym
Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry has a modern gymnasium equipped with all required facilities. All types of gym equipment are available in the RGCET gymnasium.
Library
RGCET has a Central Library on the campus premises. The library is equipped with a large collection of books, national journals, international journals, DELNET online e-journals, magazines, CDs / DVDs and CD ROMs, CD writing and scanning, internet browsing and project reports and the NPTEL programme. RGCET library membership is compulsory for staff and students.
Sports
Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry has a large playground for outdoor sports. Indoor sports facilities are also available for students on the campus premises.
I.T Infrastructure
RGCET is a member of the National Knowledge Network (NKN) which is a high-speed network backbone interconnecting major educational and research institutions. The college receives 40 Mbps of bandwidth from NKN. In addition, BSNL has provided a 100 Mbps internet connection. A firewall is used to monitor and manage all network traffic. To provide connectivity to various parts of the campus, a fibre-optic backbone has been installed.
Cafeteria
Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry has a hygienically maintained canteen inside the campus that serves lunch and snacks. Only vegetarian food is provided.
Auditorium
Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry has a well-maintained auditorium equipped with several audiovisual facilities.
Transport Facility
Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Technology, Pondicherry has an 18-bus fleet that transports students and staff members from all around the city and its surrounding areas to and from the college. Every student has access to the college bus system. Aside from regularly scheduled visits, the facility is available for events such as special coaching sessions after college hours, placements and training, campus drives etc.
Alumni Associations
The college has a good networking for the alumni association.
Wifi
RGCET campus is connected by Wi-Fi in a few places. The internet is accessed from anywhere on campus due to the installation of access points in a few blocks. Wi-Fi will be available on all devices, including laptops, desktops, and tablets (other than running android applications).
Laboratories
The Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering and Research includes well-equipped laboratories to help students improve their skills.
Convenience Store

our college is having many blocks and offers many courses and having a pleasant atmosphere . wi-fi speed in the college is excellent. library contains a large number of books. canteen food is good and cost is low.

College Infrastructure

Most of the people didn't came to know about this college due to less advertisment. Th college was good and well before covid period years. There will be events and functions conducted only when the particular department head wants to celebrate or wanted to be conducted. The first year of the college is strict and the staffs who taken for the first year were all experienced and worked in the same college for more than 7 years. The 2nd to final year staffs who handle some are new and some will be experienced. Good college to study and enjoy your college life. But don't expect more as a fresher. The infrastructure is average and there is no ground in that college. Only indoor games competition can only be conducted and that is also rare. The request of the students are valued by the department and staffs if they give a valid reason. In that way it is good to be a student in this college. The computer lab is well maintained and the wifi connectivity is normal. There is no smart boards in the classroom but if the staff needs then they will teach some topics in projector. There is a hostel and it is located around 5 km away from the college to go outside of the campus to reach hostel. Library is also well maintained and air conditioned as same as computer lab. There is no sports centres. The hostel food is not so good and I would say it will be below average for the amount of foods. The college campus will be clean and only the surroundings of admin block will be weel maintained and decorated with plants. There will be 5 builds in the college and each building has 3 floors of 4 class rooms each and a balcony.
