RBCP Bareilly Admission Process

Rakshpal Bahadur College of Pharmacy, Bareilly (RBCP Bareilly) is a well-known institute that provides quality education in the field. The AICTE and PCI-approved college has a systematic admission process to choose proper candidates for its different pharmacy courses. RBCP Bareilly provides diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses with their own admission requirements and process.

The admission time in RBCP Bareilly is generally the same as the academic year, which starts in August-September. Undergraduate admission is offered on the basis of merit in SEE MTU / GBTU entrance exams. Diploma admission is offered on the direct admission and UPJEE (Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination) merit basis. GATE-pass students with 60% marks in the degree at passing time are given preference for postgraduation.

Eligibility conditions differ according to the course. For B.Pharma, the candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. D.Pharma candidates should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. M.Pharma candidates require a degree of B.Pharma with a minimum of 60% marks, ideally with a valid GATE score.

RBCP Bareilly accepts scores of two prominent entrance exams:

1. GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) for admission to M.Pharma
2. JEECUP (Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination - Polytechnic) for D.Pharma. admission.

Application Process

Application procedure in RBCP Bareilly differs with courses:

For B.Pharma:

1. Qualify the SEE MTU / GBTU exam.
2. Go through the official website of RBCP Bareilly or admission website of the relevant admitting authority.
3. Provide the online application form with authentic personal and education details.
4. Upload essential documents such as 10+2 mark sheets, entrance examination scorecard, and other documents if required.
5. Deposit the application fee through the option given.
6. Send filled application form and wait for merit list or next communication.

For M.Pharma:

1. Attend the GATE exam and secure a valid score.
2. Go to the RBCP Bareilly website or admission portal.
3. Fill up the M.Pharma application form, entering all details.
4. Upload B.Pharma degree certificate, mark sheets, GATE scorecard, and other supporting documents.
5. Online payment of application fee.
6. Submit the form and wait for the shortlist of the subsequent admission procedures.

For D.Pharma:

1. For UPJEE-based admission:

  • Give the UPJEE (Polytechnic) exam.
  • Apply for counseling on the JEECUP website.
  • Choose RBCP Bareilly and the course of D.Pharma during counseling.
  • If a seat is assigned, report to the college for verification of documents and admission.

2. For direct admission:

  • Go to RBCP Bareilly website or admission office.
  • Obtain and fill D.Pharma application form.
  • Deposit the form along with documents and application fee.
  • Wait for merit list or next instruction from the college.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: RBCP Bareilly has a 4-year B.Pharma course with 100 seats. Admissions are mostly merit-based through SEE MTU / GBTU exams. Candidates with 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics are eligible for the course. Direct admission or screening on the basis of marks in entrance exams, followed by counseling and document verification, are the procedures to be adopted for selection.

M.Pharma: There are two specializations available at the M.Pharma level from the college - Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, both with 9 seats. The procedure of admission to M.Pharma is to provide first preference to GATE-qualified students with a minimum of 60% marks in B.Pharma degree. Non-GATE qualified students can also be admitted subject to availability of seats and AICTE and university norms. The duration of the program is 2 years.

D.Pharma: RBCP Bareilly offers a 2-year Diploma in Pharmacy with 60 seats. Admission in D.Pharma is granted in two modes: direct and as per merit of UPJEE (Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination). Candidates should be passed in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics to become eligible. Counseling and verification of documents are the selection process for chosen candidates.

Documents needed for all courses are typically:

  • 10th and 12th mark sheets and passing certificates
  • Entrance exam scorecard (GATE/UPJEE according to requirement)
  • Transfer certificate and migration certificate
  • Character certificate
  • Caste certificate (if required)
