Raman Polytechnic, Bangalore Admission Process

Raman Polytechnic, Bangalore, established in 1988, is a premier technical institution located in the IT capital of India. The college, accredited by AICTE, offers six full-time diploma courses in various engineering disciplines. The admission process at Raman Polytechnic is designed to be straightforward and accessible to all aspiring students.

The institute strictly adheres to the admission rules issued by the Government of Karnataka for all its diploma programs. Admission usually starts a few months prior to the onset of the academic year, usually in August-September.

To be eligible for admission, a candidate must have passed the 10th standard or equivalent examination from a recognized board. It is expected that students have a good foundation in subjects like Mathematics and Science as these are key subjects for engineering courses.

Application Process

General procedure for application to all the diploma courses in Raman Polytechnic, Bangalore is as follows:

Admission Process Degree wise

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering: This is the largest program at Raman Polytechnic with an intake of 90 seats. The admission procedure follows the rules prescribed by the Government of Karnataka. Candidates with a strong aptitude for mechanical systems and design are ideal for this course.

Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering: With an approved intake of 60 students, this program admits candidates as per the selection criteria set by the management as per the government rules. Candidates interested in electronic circuits and communication systems should enroll in this course.

Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering: This is another program under which 60 students are accepted. The Management makes the necessary selection of students as per rules and regulations stated by the respective government. Ideal for students seeking a career path in computer programming and software engineering.

Diploma in Civil Engineering: The college has 60 seats in this program. Students are selected by the management after consulting the government's norms. Candidates with a desire to specialize in structural design and construction can opt for this course.

Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering: There are 45 seats in this program. This is also like any other program of the college. Students who want to study electrical systems and electronics should opt for this course.

Diploma in Automobile Engineering: This program has an intake of 40 students. The selection process follows the rules laid down by the Government of Karnataka. Students who are interested in automotive technology should take this course.
