According to me, the RNSIT is better option cause the overall value of that college is good like academics and placement. The placement is great in this college with the average package of 4 lakhs per annum. And also around 4,50 lakhs.

Definitely , option A is better . SRM CSE is good . SRM Kattankulathur campus has good standard,rankings and reviews for CSE branch . Also CSE is the most opted branch in this campus. The overall rating of this college is good. The campus is well structured and the Infrastructure facilities, hostel ambience, campus life and the mess food are also good..

There is placements for mechanical engineering provided you do this btech from some of the reputed colleges in all india like IITs /nits/bits. In nits specifically nit Jamshedpur,Trichy,surathkal,Calicut, rourkela will offer you better placements.

So, in case of private college you won't get that quality of placements and there are high chances of being unplaced.
