College campus is neatly planned. All departments have greenery surrounding. Library is big and u will get all the books. College has seperate cricket & football ground. Badminton court is top notch. Labs are well equipped.
I did my MTech in Digital communication. Quality of teaching is good. I got internship opportunity through professor reference and later same got converted into full time job. Electives and other subjects are planned as per current development.
BTech:200% almost all branches. MTech has descent placement. We had ppl from MTech getting placed in Google, Tejas, Cisco, NXP, intel, hp, philips, nokia. Almost all companies visit campus. RVCE has strong alumni network who will be helping folks for job.
90k per year excluding hostel fees. Hostel are good but I preferred to stay in pg.
Many many events. Best of all is 8th mile
My experience in college was very nice. That is reason I visit college more often.
The infrastructure is good here, but there is a restriction on library and lab timings, which is not good. The entire campus is enabled with Wi-Fi and LAN facility. Our campus has a basketball court, tennis court, indoor stadium, gym, cricket and football ground. For campus residents, a small shopping complex along with cafeteria is available, which provides North Indian, South Indian, chat and fast food. The hostel mess provides mostly South Indian food items.Medical facilities are
Faculty members of our course are amazing and well trained. They are really helpful and highly qualified with immense knowledge about their fields. Their quality of teaching is amazing. The course curriculum is not only up to the field, but also you get to learn a lot. We not only just get the theoretical knowledge of the course but also get the practical knowledge, skills and aspects of the course, which make us industry-ready.The course curriculum covers a wide range of subjects giving
Computer science department in RV College of Engineering had stellar placements in terms of salary packages. 90% got placed from computer Science department. The salary packages used to vary from 2lakh till 25lakhs per annum. All tech companies are invited for placements such as Microsoft, Cisco, jp Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley etc.Companies offered roles of a developer, quality analyst, engineer.Top companies were Wipro, Infosys.
i am from other state i had to pay 2 lakhs per annum for the tution fee. Our RV clg is highly reputated clg in Bangalore So the course fee is high.A standard curriculum is followed.Decent knowledgeable faculty members among all the departments. Cultural fest 8th mile is one of the best in Bangalore. The lab assistants are also knowledgeable, and they help us finish the lab practicals easily.I have chosen this course because I had an interest in this field, and it provides job opportunities.
extracurricular activities in the college which has a number of clubs to carry out the same ranging from social service, acting, dancing, singing, debates, all kinds of sports. Our annual cultural fest 8th mile brings these clubs together and has the capability to make heads turn. The events, opportunities provided by RVCE is top notch. Anything and everything works and it's amazing.Great extra curricular activity with various technical clubs. The main annual event in this college is the 8th Mile.
It is a good and well-managed college.
The college has a decent campus with all the basic amenities. Canteen and food court are also clean and hygienic. Wifi facility is also there for day scolars as well as hostel students. Classrooms have fans which are sufficient taking the weather of Bangalore in concern.
As always, there are only some teachers wh teach good otherwise you are on yourself for the studies. The college cirriculum is updated as it contains many on going things knowledge. But the exams schedule will screw your life like anything. 3 internals with end sem. And moreover the college teachers has the most rigid and most adamant faculty which will really make your life like hell.
As heard from the seniors, the placement is very good if you are pursuing for a software or a mechanical job. You are good to go. Aiming for a core electronics or electrical job and you need to work very very very hard for that because core companies always have a benchmark of grades which is very high. And as always the college faculty will try hard not to give you any marks.
It's around 2.5 lpa. Quite reasonable among private colleges.
Good college but only when you are not getting any government or any of the relatively better private college because as mentioned above taking so many exams and so much pressure will screw you like anything.
Overall infrastructure is average, some more facilities should be added. Some of the departments should be renovated because they are old. Infrastructure should be improved so that students get all facilities.
Academics is fine, teaching is average. Practical application is less. This should be increased so that the person learn more and get good knowledge. Curriculum is fine and not too good, not too bad .
Placements are good as per seniors, maximum students are placed, few of them choose higher studies. Highest package was 53 LPA CTC according to my knowledge and in CSE. Average package is good and mainly college has it's name because of placements and that matters in India currently.
Course fees is around 2.4 lpa.
Campus is not too big, nearly 54 acres that hits the most. Also cultural fest is held once in two years but it should be held every year. It is safe.
Overall experience is average. Not so good, not so bad. It's fine and okay.
Facilities are pretty good but wifi is a little slow and the projectors for smart boards are not always working. But overall lab facilities, library and sport centres are pretty good and have decent equipment and are well maintained.
The quality of teaching really just varies from teacher to teacher. Few teachers are genuinely good and are so passionate about the subject they're teaching and make the class interesting but few teachers fail to deliver the knowledge to students in an effective way. The curriculum is updated I think and contains all recent developments but sometimes more focus is given on theoretical learning than practical application.
The placement in my college has been pretty good in the past few years. The highest package usually goes to students from branches like CSE and ECE. I'm still a junior and haven't had my placements yet so I'm not sure how smoothly the placement process goes.
Facilities are reasonable. Mess can be improved. Rooms for first years are okay, however wifi is not appreciable. Our branch classrooms could also be improved. Although I heard renovation is taking place.
I've taken a course of electronics and communication. So far I'm in first year, so I'm not familiar with the actual curriculum for the course. I heard it's a bit hectic when compared to other courses offered by the college. But I think it's worth it
Placements is probably the one thing RVCE is famous for. I think the college does offer placement training which is worth it and the placement community in RVCE is better than other colleges and so are the placement offers
The college is costly for COMEDK applicants a lot cheaper for CET students. It's almost 1/3rd the cost. So value for money is one department which the college could certainly spend sone resources on..
Campus Life is pretty decent. With. Two grounds, tennis courts and two sports complexes. Although one sports complex is technically a basketball court. And the other is also technically a badminton court.
The Infrastructure of our clg is good ,its not very big though. The wifi facility is there in the entire campus (The wifi speed will be good infront of Electrical Department). The food will be hygine in the mess but most of us wont recommend that coz we prefer outside food than mess?.
Im studying ECE in RV clg. The teaching of the electrical and electronic dept teachers is awesome but a lot of spoon feeding. Our dept HOD is very strict 24/7 she will talk about rules but a nice lady.
The highest package is around 50 lakhs per annum for CS dept, The avg for CS dept is around 12lakhs . ECE dept will get the highest no of placements , the highest package so far is 40 laks per annum, the avg salary package is around 8 to 9 lacks per annum.
As i am from other state i had to pay 2 lakhs per annum for the tution fee. Our RV clg is highly reputated clg in Bangalore So the course fee is high , Im really not sure whether im getting my money's worth.
The only thing I like about our clg is the innovative clubs in it , There are around 18 clubs that u can join.As i already told u that teachers will spoon feed u, there are a few sadist teachers so stay away from them ?
Even though the infrasturce , academics ,placements are ok, i wont recommend this clg coz management is money minded they will find ways to collect fines ,There are lot of issues and pbs we faced just in this one year
Infrastructure is so good. Well equipped machines and technology oriented. Classrooms, Laboratories, Libraries have all the facilities as per the requirement. Smart boards are well-maintained in the college. Wifi is available in classrooms and hostels both with proper internet speed. Living spaces are clean and food is hygienic but there are some problem with north-indian people as the food they provide doesn't suit those people properly.
Academics of this institution is too good. I am studying BE in ECE. Quality of teaching is too good in this college. Curriculum is properly updated and they improvise the curriculum based on the current technology. Yes, they include all the recent developments in the field. This study can make anyone job-ready without any doubt. Only the thing is they take 3 internals in a semester. HOD or Dean send emails regarding some internship which is damn interesting.
Quality of placement depends on one's study. If he/she has studied properly, he/she can get good placement in this college. Nearly 80-90% students in were placed from my branch. Highest package was 32 lac per annum in my branch. One student from CSE department got placement with annual package of 55 lac per annum. Average salary offered was 7-8 lac per annum. Placement process is not so difficult but not so easy also. Before placement, they try to shape student properly.
Course cost per year is 2,01,960 as tuition fees and 38,000 is development fund. 1,00,000 is hostel charge. Overall, it costs around 3,50,000 for a year. Yes, I feel I am getting my money's worth as I am getting proper education from one of the good colleges and I am technologically updating day by day.
Campus life is good. Students are engaged in various activities. We have lots of clubs in our college and we actively participate in all those. We have some club events also at the end of semester which is damn interesting. Location is quite good. It is safe and can handle all types of emergencies.
All classrooms have projectors to ease the teaching and laboratory are well equipped. Wi-fi is all over the campus, you can get high speed wi-fi and whole campus is well maintained, and I would like add it's litter free.
For the first year I fell syllabus is outdated, TBH it's better then VTU syllabus but it still need to be modified and i feel introducing 2nd year subject to first year is a good idea. Teaching faculties are good.
Placement is outstanding, handful of students comes to RV for placements only. Here companies comes to hire you for internship also and average placement packages here will be always higher from rest of the college's in Bangalore.
The MQ is very expensive for top branches like CSE, ISE and ECE. But coming to college through KCET is affordable.
College conducts college day for every 2 years, when you join this college be prepared for less entertainment.
Here they conducts more exams from any of the college in Bangalore
We have all the necessary facilities. So...we have a black board , a smart board and projector for various ppt displays during the lecture. Yes, they are maintained well but for some situations. Yes, the living spaces are pretty clean but sometimes short of water and food is all good and hygienic
I am pursuing BTech in Electronics and Instrumentation. Yes, the theoretical teaching is good but practical teaching needs tl be improved. The curriculum is updated and I think so..it includes all the developments since we have not entered the branch in particular
Almost 75% of students are placed and most of them get good salary package. The average package is 7 lakhs per annum and the highest package last year was 54 lakhs. Since I am first year student, I haven't experienced the placement.
It costs me 60 thousands per year. Yes, what I am getting in college is worth but needs to be improved when it comes to practical way of teaching and better equipment for the labs. The teaching and material we get is money's worth.
The college campus is little small but it seems big when compared to others in Banglore. And it is peaceful. We have sports complexes where most of them engage in several games playing and libraries for studies and many tech and non tech clubs . The campus is pretty safe and there will be a check in the entrance and is safe. Yes, emergencies can be handles since we have a medical centre inside the campus and ambulance for bigger issues.
People in the campus are cool and friendly. My experience of one year here went good and I am happy and proud to study here.
Between UPES (University of Petroleum and Energy Studies) and RVCE (R.V. College of Engineering) for Mechanical Engineering, RVCE is generally the better choice. Located in Bangalore, RVCE has a strong reputation, high placement rates, and excellent faculty in engineering. It’s known for providing hands-on experience and strong industry connections, especially in core engineering. UPES is good too, particularly for energy-related fields, but for Mechanical Engineering with broad career prospects, RVCE may offer more value and opportunities.
Hello Aspirant
RVCE Bangalore and aVIT Vellore both are good engineering colleges with good academic prospect. But talking about placements RVCE has an average package of 11.43LPA for CSE Branch and VIT Vellore on other hand has an average package of 12-13 LPA for CSE Branch considering that VIT Vellore has a huge batch siz. VIT Vellore becomes a good choice for you.
