RV Institute of Legal Studies, Bengaluru is the youngest institute, to provide quality legal education to its students. RVILS is provides two specialized integrated law programmes including BA LLB and BBA LLB. The admission process at RVILS has been geared up in such a way that the dedicated and promising law aspirants are picked up for its five-year comprehensive integrated law programmes.

The admission cycle for RVILS is in line with the academic year, which usually begins in July-August.

The eligibility criteria for getting admission into RVILS programs are essentially passing 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Since it is an institute providing integrated law courses, students of any stream like Arts, Science, or Commerce can apply for the same.

The common score from the entrance exam taken by law colleges in national-level entrance exams are considered. In addition, RVILS can conduct entrance test and/or interview as a procedure for selecting the students. 3. Attach the following documents:

• 10th and 12th standard mark sheets
• Birth Proof Date
• Photocopy of all certificates and a valid passport-size recent photograph
• Other certificates or documents as specified by the institute.

4. Payment of fee through the prescribed mode. The amount will be clearly displayed on the portal.

5. Submission of duly filled application form with all necessary documents before the deadline.

6. If shortlisted, then students are called for entrance test or interview organized by the institute. For all these tests and assessment, the focus areas will be legal aptitude, general knowledge, and current affairs.

7. Final selection is generally under a combination of two factors, which may include, the academic performance during the period of 10+2, entrance test, and if interview is conducted, the performance in that interview.

Degree-wise Admission Process

BA LLB is an integrated five-year program integrating the degree of Bachelor of Arts with the Bachelor of Laws. The course curriculum is to train students who get a firm foothold in liberal arts along with law education. Selection is made at the institute level where marks secured at 10+2 levels may be taken into consideration or through entrance examinations followed by interviews.

BBA LLB: This is an integrated five-year program that institutes BBA with BL. It is for students interested in corporate law and business-related legal practices. Admission to the program is almost similar to BA LLB, and it is judged on the institutes' interpretation of their merits and other such criteria at their discretion.

Both the courses are of full time and aggregate in-take of 156 students. Such a small batch size ensures that the students get focused attention in a tight knit setup that nurtures close student-faculty interaction.
