The Salasar Balaji B.Ed. College was established in the year 2008 is one of the distinguished colleges in Sikar Rajasthan. Located at Jaipur Road behind the Circuit House; this co-educational college is committed to producing future educators. The institute which is located in a 2 acre space provides various courses related to teacher training to its 355 students. The college has faculties of 30 members including professors and lecturers so the student-teacher ratio of the college is also quite good where the students are benefited by direct personal contact and quality education. Salasar Balaji B.Ed. College is an affiliated college which is accredited from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), which reflect the college’s dedication towards ensuring that adequate standard is observed to the teacher training course.

Salasar Balaji B.Ed. College has the modern installations intended to facilitate the learning process of students that are present in the institution. In the middle of all these facilities there is a spacious library with book collection of more than 20000 books, 40 national and international journals, and magazines of different fields. The library also has 15 newspapers in English and Hindi and they offer students with all the information they need. Also, the college provides DELNET facility; through it, more than 2 million records are open to the students. Sports lovers can easily max their skills to the best with this college sports amenities. In the event of any illnesses or injuries for which students are not prepared, a health centre with first aid services is located on the school compound. We also have adequately equipped laboratories that include computer lab with 250 Pentium IV, science laboratories that cut across various disciplines and information communication technology Laboratory. For these facilities, modern information technology infrastructural support such as the use of the audio visual aids like LCD projectors and Overhead projectors has added on the teaching learning process.

Four full-time courses are offered at Salasar Balaji B.Ed. College to support all the needs of teacher education. College is offering B. Ed. Degree / D. El. Ed. Course which is of two years duration each with an intake capacity of one hundred students each. For those who want combination of programmes, the college offers four year integrated courses B.Sc. B.Ed and BA B.Ed. each with a seat capacity of one hundred. These programmes are sanctioned with aims of enabling the students to master both content knowledge and teaching competencies. The entire students from all the courses offered in this college is 400, which is an implication of the college’s provision of teachers in the region.

The admissions in the Salasar Balaji B.Ed. College are through the marks scored by the students in the Qualifying examination and/or endowment test. Like all other affiliated colleges, the college adheres to the admission policies drawn by the state government, UT administration, and the affiliated university. For the B.Ed. programme candidates are admitted on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam or through an entrance test as envisage by the state government and the university. The admission procedure for the integrated B.Sc. B.Ed. and BA B.Ed. programmes also remains equally competent on merit in the qualifying examination or entrance test. The admissions for the D.El.Ed. course are also merit based depending on the marks of the row obtained in the qualifying examination or entrance test as per the norms set under state government or Union Territory administration. In particular the scholarship data are missing though the college has vision to offer better education in the field of teaching to its students. Salasar Balaji B.Ed. College excels in providing a blend of necessary infrastructures and versatile courses catering to the need of the paramount future of education in Rajasthan.
