Sant Kripal Singh Institute of Law, Banda Admission Process

Sant Kripal Singh Institute of Law (SKSIL), Banda, has rapidly come into its own, with a strong goal of excellence in legal education. Recognized by the Bar Council of India, SKSIL offers an entire program in Bachelor of Laws (LLB) to prepare students for a successful legal career. The admission process filters candidates who are willing to work hard toward a career in law. Admission proceeds with the regular cycle of the academic calendar at SKSIL, so the applications would probably have been commenced a month or two before the commencement of the academic year.

According to eligibility conditions for the LLB program, an applicant must successfully complete a 10+2 course from a recognized school board. The minimum percentage requirements to be achieved by the candidates are as follows:

  • General: 45% aggregate marks
  • OBC: 42% aggregate marks
  • SC/ST Reserved Category: 40% aggregate marks

A total of 120 seats are available for the LLB program at SKSIL, making admission tough competition. As far as the institute is concerned, no specific entrance examination has been prescribed; therefore, it can be assumed that the basis of admission will depend upon the performance of candidates in the qualifying examination and perhaps in other criteria, including entrance tests or interviews constituted by the institute itself.

Application Process

The application procedure for the Sant Kripal Singh Institute of Law, Banda, is simple and systematic in granting access to deserving candidates. The procedure concerned with the application now follows:

1. The Official Website: All interested students should keep checking the official website of SKSIL for any updates regarding the opening of applications.

2. Online Application: SKSIL will probably awaken the online application form via its website. Primarily, the application should be meticulously filled by the candidate indicating personal and academic contact details.

3. Document submission: Various documents should accompany the application itself. An actual list is not given; however, the following documents are usually needed:

  • Passport-size photographs
  • Mark sheets and certificate of 10th and 12th
  • Date of birth proof
  • Category certificate (if applicable for OBC/SC/ST candidates)
  • Any other relevant certificates/documents specified by the institute.

4. Application fee: Presumably, application fees were to be paid from the side of the candidate. Such information would presumably be on the institute's official webpage or application portal.

5. Entrance test/interview: This was not mentioned in the prospectus; however, it is possible for an entrance test/interview to be weighed in. Should any announcement come, candidates should prepare for that.

6. Merit List: Selected candidates would probably find their names uploaded on the website by merit list, which will take into view all evaluation parameters (e.g. marks in 10+2 and performance in various tests or interviews conducted by the institute).

7. Confirmation of Admissions: Selected candidates must confirm the admission by paying requisite fees and submitting original documents for verification within the stipulated time frame.

Candidates are also advised during the entire application process to keep checking the official SKSIL website for updates and announcements, ensure all information in the application submitted is true and up-to-date, keep a constant check for submissions required from their end, and stay prepared for any other requirements or assessments that may be raised.
