Great infrastructure with state of the art classrooms, labs, library, cafeteria. Free access of multiple databases which aids learning and development. Our college is in the glass building so facilities wise it was really amazing.
Inter disciplinary course with updated coursework. Skills and subjects taught that are relevant in the corporate world. Great faculty and great learning experience if someone engages throughout the term.
Good companies come but the main challenge is that the intake is very less in big brands. However most people do get placed even if it's not in a top tier firm. Also, due to multiple schools being managed by a single placement committee it's some times difficult to compete. Moreover, the placement rules are such that one needs to apply smartly to get the company and domain that they want. However, having said that, if one is getting an opportunity and plans on working post college, they should definitely sit for placements and prepare for the interviews, and also do certifications relevant to the field that they want to be in. Don't shy away from applying, even if it's an opportunity for a summer internship, you never know what might lead to what. So prepare well, trust yourself, and just go ahead and give your best.
The fees is on the higer side but if someone is able to get an opportunity to study in this institution they shouldn't miss it. Apart from academic rigour, the place teaches one important life lessons and definitely fuels a lot of growth. Plus the brand name is one of the best in the country, so it's a great learning experience.
It's not a big residential campus because Mumbai has it's own space crunch issues, but it's a great place to be. The crowd is very bright and the environment is really competitive, friendly and accepting. Mostly everyone finds their tribe here and has fun in their own way. Overall good experience if you find the right people.
My experience was great but everyone has their own priorities, goals and ideals they want to achieve and that's okay. NMIMS is very strict with attendance so that's one thing that many people might want to consider. However, it's a great place to be. The brand value is great, you'll have access to some great alumni who might guide you in a lot of ways. Whatever you decide make sure it's an informed decision, and make sure it's your decision. Good luck!
Hi Vartika
The answer to you question if you ask in simple words is NO. You can not take transfer in second year from one university to another, you will have to reappear for admission test and procedures and start all again if from first year if you really want to change your university. However, if you want to change your course and study in your same university then it may happen but it is very very difficult rather I would say it is almost impossible, you can request your university management if they would consider your demand to change your course (which they are most likely to refuse) only then something can happen . You can not go to any other university just by getting transferred in second year.
I hope this answer resolved your query.
Narsee Monjee , Christ and Symbiosis are some of the best colleges in the country . Studing in these colleges in one of the best opportunities that you can get . The fees is hefty though, as compared to other colleges. I would suggest you to take admission in Du colleges which are the top most collegees for economics. However these colleges also have good environment , opportunities and peer group.
Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing absolutely great.
So, with regard to your query, the fee structure for BSc economics in Narsee Monjee College is INR 67.93k per three years. However, this is only the tuition fee, the hostel fee is again different., it depends upon the accommodation you choose.
Hope this helps you,
Thank you.
