The LL.M. Alternate Dispute Resolution program offered by UPES School of Law is designed to provide students with hands-on, practical training in the field of dispute resolution. The course focuses on simulating mediation and negotiation scenarios to help students develop the necessary skills for real-world practice. The program covers various aspects of alternative dispute resolution, including negotiation techniques, commercial arbitration, and identifying the most suitable form of ADR for specific situations. Students will learn how to critically evaluate legal principles and practical solutions, as well as conduct and assess research relevant to their clients' needs. Special emphasis is given to mediation, where students will explore the role of a mediator, the qualities and skills required to be an effective mediator, the structure of a mediation process, and the art of mediation advocacy. They will also learn practical skills such as drafting consent orders, position statements, and settlement agreements.

The LL.M. Alternate Dispute Resolution program at UPES is highly practical in nature, requiring students to apply their knowledge and skills through simulated mediation and negotiation scenarios. This experiential learning approach ensures that students are well-prepared for real-world situations and can confidently navigate the complexities of dispute resolution. Eligibility Criteria

Interested students must fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria for LL.M. in Alternate Dispute Resolution, which are as follows: Minimum 50% marks at Higher and Senior Secondary level (X and XII) and Minimum 50%marks in Graduation with LLB Degree. Or equivalent.
