The School of Law, VIT-AP University, Amaravati, and it is one of the renowned institutions giving all-rounded legal education. Admission is based on a selection process to shortlist the brightest and most deserving candidates for these courses. Being one of the constituent colleges of VIT-AP University, the School of Law has been recognized as focused on giving quality legal education in a modern, technologically advanced environment. The main entrance examination for undergraduate programs in the School of Law, VIT-AP University is Common Law Admission Test, CLAT. It is a national-level entrance test recognized and accepted by the best law schools in India. CLAT scores form a critical part of the selection process for the integrated five-year programs of the institute.
CLAT counselling 2024 -25 will commence from December 25, 2024 till January 3, 2025, for the AY 2024-25. The payment of confirmation fee through the consortium on freeze and float options will also be done; however, all admissions will be finalized by the respective NLUs.The eligibility criteria for undergraduate programs generally include successful completion of 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board. Candidates are advised to check the specific eligibility requirements for each program, as they may vary. The admission for the postgraduate program is done by taking the VIT Research Admission Test and by interview. Candidates who have cleared UGC-NET, including JRF, are exempted from the entrance exam. However, they will have to defend their research proposal during the interview.

For Ph.D. Law program:
The School of Law, VIT-AP University, Amaravati, aims to provide a comprehensive legal education with state-of-the-art facilities. Degree wise Admission Process
B.A. LL.B. (Hons): Intake capacity -120 seats. Basis of admission will be CLAT scores. Fee for the five-year program Rs. 8,10,000; candidates must pass 10+2 with appropriate subjects for the study of laws.
BBA LL.B. (Hons): It is another five-year integrated program with 180 seats available. Admission to this program is also similar to the B.A. LL.B. program and is based on CLAT scores. The total fee for this program is also Rs. 8,10,000.
Ph.D. Law: VIT-AP School of Law offers a distinct admission process in the doctoral program in Law. The admissions are carried out twice a year - January Cycle and June Cycle. Candidates have to appear for the VIT Research Admission Test along with an interview. Those candidates who have already cleared UGC-NET (including JRF) are exempted from the entrance exam but need to defend their research proposal in the interview. The program fee is Rs. 1,20,000.
