Overall college infrastructure was good although I haven't spend much time in college as COVID-19 came in our life. So I can't say anything about college infrastructure. Our college was clean and hygiene but there were no smart boards.
Academics also I would say it was good. The teachers teaching there were good enough to teach and there was understanding between students and teacher as I have attended 3-4 classes I guess at that time before covid.
Placements were online through forms and it was easy to get the admission and salary package was ok but it got increased during the period of covid. So I would say that the college should not increase the package.
1 year it costs around 3k and then after COVID-19 came the package got increased around 4500 and I think during this time they should not raise the fees.
I enjoyed there after class got dismissed with friends although I have attended 3-4 classes.
Experience was good as sol conducted online classes properly during covid but during exams in the last semester the exams were held offline and as I got my nearest center mata sundri college. In the center we were not allowed to take our bags inside the campus and ofcourse in bags there are things like money or phone that we carry and students are coming alone from far places so this was the bad experience we used to had.
College Infrastructure was good in my opinion. It has all facilities which students needed. The college space is clean. The college has 2,3 libraries which is easy for students to read in library. The college has good WIFI connection.
I was studying B.A. Programme and the curriculum was good. Some teachers teaches good and some not.The course was good but It didn't make me job ready.I don't know more about it because I have online classes.
I didn't get any placement so I don't know about placements.I have studied in College of open learning that is distance learning so I don't know whether they provide placements or not.If you are doing regular college so maybe you can get placement.
Cost of my course was decent. It didn't cost me much and if someone who can't afford too much to pay one can get admission in Delhi University for their future. The college offers many courses you can choose according to your interest and they are also not too much costly.
It was good.
The college csnteen is also very good providing food the college has good labs , classrooms, wifi a good computer lab a good building etc and many more students are alsoo good by nature or by behaviour
Teachers are relly supportive very knowledgeable and teaching quality is good the course curriculum is relevant too if you study nicely exam are gonna be easy for you this course curriculum is ver good
Many companies visit campus for recuriting students like wipro , deloitte,, zara, e&y lenskart paytm indigo kpmg and many more College has a good placement cell and provides students with various kind of internships
Worth it experience i ever have
The best thing about this course is students can explore new things and gain much experience Events are organised time to time by various societies campus crowd is also great, surroundeing are also peaceful
I was a student of SOL, as this is distance learning but the facilities are very good and they locate the students to different colleges as per their need, but my college was fully maintained, the food provided in the canteen was hygienic. It doesn't provide any wifi tho.
As we had to go only on Saturday and Sundays. I was studying B.com and it is easy to score there as you have to do self study but no industrial visit made by our college to teach us any practical knowledge. It doesn't get you ready for any jobs.
No placements had been provided by them . You just get your bcom degre from them. And you have to find a job by your own while doing your course from Sol, you can gain your skills during that time. If you are preparing for any competitive exam then duSol is best for you.
Delhi University School of Open Learning has okay buildings, bit old-fashioned. However, they have a large open area, great for activities. The big ground and cafeteria make the overall experience at DU SOL quite okay.
The studies at DU SOL aren't great because it's mostly distance learning with classes only on weekends. These days get super crowded, and given the nature of open learning, many teachers may not provide sufficient individual attention to students.
DU SOL doesn't provide placement opportunities. If your goal is to prepare for government exams, and you just need a degree, it's suitable. However, if you're looking for strong academic qualifications, it might not be the best choice for you.
Infrastructure needs to be worked on. There's no library for the SOL students. The classes and teachers are good enough but the distribution of hardcopy books is done very late. Needs to be improved. The Main SOL office needs to be worked on.
Out of 10 teachers, I have encountered only 2 teachers who teach really well and have covered the syllabus on time. Rest of them weren't able to complete the syllabus and I had to study the concept on my own. Classes should be increased as we get only 8 weekly classes in one semester. Also, please give us a break in between classes. From 10 am to 2 pm nonstop classes results in headache, thus i have to skip one class alternatively. 4 hours back to back class is a headache.
It's not a regular college so maybe that's why no placement happens here. But still, any improvement is welcomed. It would be helpful for the correspondence students too to get placements, especially for those who can't afford regular colleges.
As its a correspondence course but with equal value of degree from Delhi University, i would say its worth the money, specially if you want to do any job while pursuing degree.
We get allotted different colleges in delhi university campus each time, and they were pretty well hygienic. I liked the canteen. The staff was cooperative too. It would be nice to have extra curricular activities added for those interested.
I just got to live 1 year like a college student as 2 years went in covid, but so far the experience has been pretty good.
DU SOL has a decent infrastructure. However, there could be a better building and lighting facilities. Also, it would be better if classes could be held inside the building itself as it would be more convenient for the students.
The Books provided need to be more precise. The quality of books can be improved. Also, there should be provision for distribution of books to all students as it becomes quite hectic to do the preparations without physical books.
There is no such placement facility in DU SOL. However, other regular colleges of Delhi University serve great opportunities for the students. Addition of this facility in DU SOL also can prove to be of great help for the students.
Talking about the fees, DU SOL is quite feasible in comparison to other regular colleges. Also, the quality of education and other materials provided is also quite decent. There is a scope for better books.
Although there is no such campus of DU SOL, but still it is situated in North campus, it amalgamates to a perfect place to hang out with friends along with all the necessary things and places. The greenery in the campus serves as cherry on the cake!
The infrastructure of the college is good to the best. But the hostel is not at all good . May improve the room facilities and food qualities. Other wise the college atmosphere is very pleasent and relaxing.
In physics department the teaching is good. The staffs are very friendly . They were having a good experience and knowledge. The teachers gives lecture and the way of teaching was mature and it gives experience of college life.
It's good. A lot of companies have participated and lot of students were placed. Quality companies are being participated and the salary package was decent. Many of the students were working in Kodaikanal reservatory.
The college infrastructure is very poor. The washrooms are really really worse in terms of hygienic conditions. We pay a good amount of fees to study in a college in the outskirts of Surat literally in the village but they don't make a good use of our money instead the fill their own pockets with that.
The academic is the worst in this college. The management highers the teachers those were alumini of this college. They don't even have a basic knowledge of the subject and they can't clear our doubts. They don't care whether we study or not.
While during the time of admission the faculties give us hope that there is good placements conducted by our college. It just talk one year to realise that there is no single company that comes for the placement for pharmacy students.
My college has all the facilities, from rooms to library and all the necessary things that children need, it is good. The infrastructure of the college is good and is clean and hygienic too.Complete all over good college.
I am doing distance study because I do not have time for regular studies, I have to do a job, that is why I am doing distance study and I manage everything well. And yes, I will get a better job after graduation.
It is also good in placement. I have seen on the portal of my college that they have posted placement letters like links etc. many people have got placement and I have seen in the job portal of the placement letter of my college that there are many opportunities available in the college.
This College is good for those children who can not afford regular studies. Distance College and books are also available in it. It has good value for money and is good. Fees for two semesters are paid at once and it is good.
When we go to college to give papers, there is no campus experience but when we go to take books and classes on Saturday or Sunday, we feel very good there, the teachers teach us and the entire environment is friendly.
Hello,
Recently, UGC has approved a proposal to allow students to pursue two degree programmes at the same time. One of the degrees has to be in the regular mode and the other either in open and distance learning or online. However, in case you're asking if you can get in both the Universities in regular mode then it is not possible.
Also, there are a lot of universities who are not yet accepting the dual degree policy. They may accept it from a year or so as it was released this year. So you should get in contact with the college to know more about it.
I hope this helps,
All the best
yes , you get admission in B com in any university or college
