SCMS School of Engineering and Technology, Ernakulam Facilities

To ensure students do not face any inconvenience during their time at the campus, the college has modern and updated facilities and infrastructure. SCMS School of Engineering and Technology facilities and infrastructure list includes boys hostel, girls hostel, a well-equipped library, canteen, auditorium etc. Both boys hostel and girls hostel have basic facilities for students.

Boys Hostel
The boys hostel of SSET offers a comfortable stay to the students. Over 489 students can be accommodated in the boys hostel. The college has a separate boys hostel for first year students. Girls Hostel
A separate girls hostel is present at the campus. The girls hostel has an accommodation capacity of 390 students. For the safety of students, security personnel are deployed in hostel proximity. The girls hostel has facilities such as indoor games, power backup, computer centre with internet access etc. for students.
Medical/Hospital
The campus of SCMS School of Engineering and Technology has a medical centre that provides basic first aid facility to students, faculty and staff members.
Library
SCMS School of Engineering and Technology has a library that has a large collection of books, journals, magazines and various other reading materials for students and faculty members.
Sports
The college focuses on development of sports at the campus. The Department of Physical Education is responsible for conducting various sports activities at the campus. It also promotes students to participate in sports tournaments.
I.T Infrastructure
SSET has modern and robust IT infrastructure for its students. The college has modern technology and latest equipment for students to use.
Cafeteria
The institute cafeteria is spacious and can accommodate over 500 people at a time. It serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food to students, staff and faculty members. The food served is hygienic and affordable.

A well-established and modern auditorium is there at the campus to host numerous academic and non-academic events of the college.
Transport Facility
The institute has 22 buses running to and fro between major parts of the city to college campus. The timings of the buses are prepared keeping in mind students' lecture time. Separate buses are available for first year students.

Students can buy books and stationery items from the college store. Furthermore, the institute has a Reprographic Centre for photocopying, scanning, binding reports etc.

College Infrastructure

The college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. All the labs are well equipped with latest devices and equipments. The food in the canteen in very good and affordable on a daily basis. The library is one of the best things about the college and has an open wifi which is accessible to every student. The classrooms are well lit and spacious.

Which college is better scms or asiet?

Hi there

Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology is a better option.

Placements in the college are quite good. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA and most of the major IT companies like TCS, IBM, HCL, etc., visit the college for placements.

The campus is lush green with a very peaceful atmosphere away from the city, but still, it is well-connected. All the required facilities were provided in the college, and the management is improving it every year by constructing more buildings with better facilities and better labs.

Faculty members are the best part of the college. The staff take special care in attending each student and getting them involved in more extracurricular activities.
