SD College, Hoshiarpur Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

This was the new college  and was, like all the collages, underlying co-education. It is opened in Punjab, Hoshiarpur. The prime concern of the SD college is getting a vast number of programs into undergraduate and postgraduate courses.The admission cycle in the college goes far ahead of the beginning of the academic year which is usually forecast as August-September. Few programs of the college bring different eligibility criteria for the sake of admission. For admission to undergraduate programs, a student who has completed a 10+2 certification from a recognized education board should be enrolled. On the other hand, to apply for master's courses, students need to have a bachelor's degree in a related field. The college might also consider other factors like how well the student performed in previous examinations, and maybe even ask students to appear for an interview.

Application Process

The application process is as follows for SD College, Hoshiarpur:

1. Collect application form: The applicants can either download the application form from the official college website or on the other hand, collect it from the college admission office.

5. Merit list preparation- Based on the qualifying examination scores, merit lists will be prepared by the college or any additional criteria that might be specific to the program.

6. Interview round (for applicable programs): The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview for such programs as B.Com (Hons) and B.Voc Fashion Designing.

7. Final Selection: College shall announce the final list of selected candidates according to the criteria of both merit and interview performance (whenever applicable).

8. Candidates should confirm their admission by depositing tuition and registration fees along with original documents within the stipulated time frame.

9. Orientation: Attend the orientation program organized by the college to familiarize yourself with the campus, faculty, and college regulations.

Admission Process Degree wise 

B A: There is a merit list for places regarding Bachelor of Arts programs. It is based on the merit list prepared from the marks obtained in the qualifying 10+2 examination. Students have the option to choose any combination offered in the college.

B.Com and B.Com (Hons): It offers the regular B.Com programme and also the B.Com (Hons) programme. The final selection will be based on merit and performance in the interview.

BBA: This program is based on the qualifying merit as BBA program at SD College follows a merit-based admission process. Candidates are selected based on their performance in the qualifying examination.

BCA: Admission to the Bachelor of Computer Applications program is also merit-based, with considerations made from the 10+2 examination, especially in terms of mathematics scores.

B.Sc Programs: SD College offers B.Sc in Biotechnology (Hons) and Non-Medical Streams. Entry into either of these programs is determined by a merit list prepared based on qualifying examination scores, with some consideration given to performance in the sciences.

B.Voc Programs: The college is offering Bachelor of Vocational programs in the field of Software Development, Banking Insurance and Retailing, and Fashion Designing. For B.Voc Fashion Designing, the selection method is through both merit and performance in the interview.

M.Com: Commerce is available for postgraduate admission based on bachelor qualifying performance.

PGDCA: Admission to the Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications will be through a merit-leiting admission process on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying bachelor's degree.
