The admission processes of SDCH are mainly directed through national level entrance examinations. In the case of the BDS courses, candidates seeking to join it need to get qualified in the National Eligibility-cum-entrance Test - NEET exam. Likewise for the MDS programs, only candidates who clear NEET MDS exam are deemed eligible for any of the MDS programs. The basic eligibility criterion for the BDS program is the successful completion of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. Candidates must have passed the NEET examination with a qualifying score. For MDS programs, candidates must have completed their BDS degree from a recognized university and qualified the NEET MDS examination. It has been recognized by the Dental Council of India and accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council; thus, high-quality dental education is ensured by the college.
Application Process
The application process differs based on the course:
For BDS Program:
1. Attend NEET-UG examination conducted by NTA.
2. Clear NEET-UG through achieving the mandatory cut-off marks.
3. Seek state and central counseling whichever is applicable to them.
4. Apply at VSPM Dental College in case one gets allotted there.
5. In case the seat has been allotted then the student need to report in the college. And after which admission formalities would be undertaken along with documents verification.
For MDS Courses:
1. NEET-MDS offered by the National Board of Examinations (NBE)
2. Obtain qualification in NEET-MDS, with marks on or above cut off.
3. Counseling for admission into MDS course by state and /or Central
4. Choose VSPM Dental College and preferred specialty in counseling
5. If allotted seat, finalize all admission formalities at college

The selection process is mainly based on the candidate's performance in the respective entrance examinations, NEET-UG for BDS and NEET-MDS for MDS. Degree wise Admission Process
BDS: SDCH offers approved intake of 100 seats for Bachelor of Dental Surgery. The entry is on merit basis considering performance in the NEET exam. Eligible candidate must have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
MDS: MDS courses in various specialties offered at SDCH. The intake capacity is limited with a small number of students per batch for intensive attention. Following are some specializations:
