Shri Agrasen Snatakottar Shiksha Mahavidyalaya situated in Jaipur (Rajasthan) is one of the reputed institute which has been coaching the future teachers since its beginning in 1979. This campus, co-educational college located in a 3.5 acres of area, is aimed at offering the best education in teaching profession. Approved by the National Council for Teacher Education, NAAC accredited and established in the year 1986 the college provide various teacher training courses. With overall student intake capacity of 865 and faculty of 35, the institute provides personal care for the students and proper environment for learning.

Shri Agrasen Snatakottar Shiksha Mahavidyalaya being geared towards providing quality education has several facilities that add on the educational facility. As an important part of the academic community, the library currently holds 14,495 books, 8,102 titles and 44 reference books in its collection. With potential to accommodate 80 students, the reading room can provide the necessary comfort to accomplish readings. The college has separate hostels for boys and girls, both being of 80 capacity, therefore catering for the needs of any accommodating students. It avails modem facilities and accommodation including Wi-Fi connection, well-endowed laboratories, and a health facility with first aid. This school has also a sports facilities, gymnasium, and an auditorium for athletics, recreation and co-curricular activities and functions. This college facility is an eating place in the college which most students use as a central area to spend time during their break between lessons.

Shri Agrasen Snatkottar Shiksha Mahavidyalaya provides a broad spectrum of teacher education courses in order to meet the need at all levels of education. The institute offers five regular courses identified as B.Ed, M.Ed, BA B.Ed, B.Sc B.Ed and D.El.Ed. The B.Ed programme, which is the flagship course has the approved student intake of 300 students and M.Ed programme which has a student intake of fifty. These programmes are meant to prepare students with all they require in teaching profession in terms of knowledge and skills. BA B. Ed and B. Sc B. Ed programmes describe that the students can study for both a degree in arts or science simultaneously and a teaching degree in four years.

The admission procedure for students seeking admission to the Shri Agrasen Snatkottar Shiksha Mahavidyalaya is on the basis of merit list analysis of marks in the qualifying examination and or entrance test. The college under the fact is the member of the state government, UT administration, and the affiliated university have the right to set some policies regarding the admission. Admission to B.Ed programme is done by merit in the qualifying examination along with any entrance test conducted for the purpose. Fortunately, the M.Ed programme also takes into account one’s academic achievement and score in entrance test. The Process of Integrated BA B.Ed and B.Sc B.Ed also focuses on merit which means the candidate has scored in their 10+2 examinations and Additional Eligibility Criterion if any laid down by the concerned authorities.
