Shri Ram College of Higher Education, Baghpat Admission Process

In Uttar Pradesh, Shri Ram College of Higher Education, Baghpat, is a contemporary academic institution. It offers several undergraduate programs and diploma courses according to different academic choices. The admission into Shri Ram College is inclusive and merits based in the spirit of the Uttar Pradesh government.

Usually, the admission process for the next academic year starts in the preceding months just before the commencement of the current session.

For the D.El.Ed program, the admission is more rationalized. According to UP government regulations, admission is offered to those candidates who have attained the minimum required percentage of marks on the merit list prepared by the college on the basis of the entrance examination or qualifying test. The college has fixed an intake capacity of 100 for this course, which makes it a challenging proposition for anyone wishing to become a teacher.

Eligibility criteria vary from course to course:

  1. BA: The candidate must be a 10+2 pass-out or equivalently qualified in any stream.
  2. B.Com: The applicant must have completed 10+2 in Commerce or any other qualification equivalent to this.
  3. B.Sc: Students must have completed 10+2 with Science(Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Math).

6. Preparation of the Merit List: For the great percentage of undergraduate programs, the merit list is prepared by the college based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent). For the D.El.Ed program, if any entrance examination was held, then its score will also be taken into account while preparing the merit list.

7. Counselling and Seat Allocation: Candidates thus shortlisted would finally be called for counselling through which seats are allocated on merit according to their availability.

8. Fee Payment: Those candidates who are selected need to pay the prescribed admission fee to avail their seats.
