Sir CR Reddy College of Engineering, Eluru Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a Boy's Hostel is established in the year 2006 to provide accommodation and mess facilities to students of Sir C.R.Reddy College of Engineering. The hostel has 72 rooms spread over three floors and accommodates about 200 students. Each room is attached to a separate bathroom and water facility. The rooms are furnished with cots, fans, tables, chairs, and shelves with iron doors. A washbasin with mirror and mosquito nets to window frames is also furnished. Hygienic drinking water is available to the inmates of the hostel. 

The college has a Girl's Hostel established in the year 2002 to provide accommodation and mess facilities to students of Sir C.R.Reddy College of Engineering. The hostel has 72 rooms spread over two floors and accommodates about 250 students. Each room is attached to a separate bathroom and water facility. The rooms are furnished with cots, fan tables, chairs, and shelves with iron doors. A washbasin with mirror and mosquito nets to window frames is also furnished. Hygienic drinking water is available to the inmates of the hostel. 

The college has administrators of the college who are conscious of the need for medical help in times of emergency. A dispensary is set up with a full-time doctor and Nurse to attend to the students and staff for minor health problems and quick consultancy. In case of emergency, they provide First aid and refer the patient to Govt. the hospital/ASRAM/private hospitals immediately. Moreover, there are many multi-specialty hospitals situated at a 3 to 5 k.m distance. Emergency Ambulance 108 facility is available all 24 hours in the town and can reach the campus within 5 minutes. The college has a tie-up with Ambulance services in Eluru for Emergency services. Omni Van with Driver is available for 24/7 medical support to the students on the campus and inmates in the hostels.

The college has sports facilities that are provided with adequate space transformed into playfields and courts. Ultra Modern Gym caters to the fitness and logical quotient of the students as well as staff. Many sources cite mental and emotional health as an important part of overall fitness. To stay healthy it's important to participate in physical activity. This is often presented in textbooks as a triangle made up of three sub-sections, which represent physical, emotional, and mental fitness. Realizing the significance of this vital area, the college has invested an amount of Rs. 1.46 crores in an Ultra Modern Gym that comprise a plinth area of 2, 190 Sq.mt. and with the following features.

The college has a Central Library is a significant feature of the college. It is constructed on the campus with a total built-up area of 4,454 square meters at the cost of Rs 3 crores with all modern facilities. To the conventional library facilities with 336 seating capacity, a digital library, discussion rooms, internet browsing center, and video conferencing hall with 120 seating capacity is added. At present, the college library has about 48,259 volumes with 17,573 titles and subscribes to e-Journals through DELNET -- 117 Journals and 32 Magazines.

The college is encouraging outdoor sports activities amongst the students by providing the infrastructure, coaching facilities, and attendance concession. Large playing fields support a wide variety of games, such as Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Hockey, and Tennis. Our outdoor facilities include a court for Basketball, Volleyball, Handball, and Tennis.

The college has Apart from computing and browsing facilities now available in the departments, the central library has a computer center with 70 terminals that provide browsing facilities for the common use of all staff and students. The center remains open till 7:00 PM in the evening on all working days. The center provides the latest state-of-art computer and browsing facilities. The college is connected to BSNL Broadband with a 20 Mbps link and NETLINX with a 100 Mbps leased line.

The college has a fully furnished Canteen with an area of 36.83 X 15.87 mths area that caters to the needs of all students and staff. It provides good quality food. The canteen offers food at a reasonable price. This facility starts in the morning at 8'0 clock and remains open till the college is closed. It is very much comfortable and the services are utilized more during the break period and lunchtime. The food is prepared hygienically with the help of the Modern Steam-Based Cooking System. It serves best for the students. 1. Canteen with modern kitchen equipment (steam) to provide nutritious and Hygienic food items at subsidized rates is available. 2. It is totally furnished by the management. 3. Built-up Space: 404 Sq.Mts 4. Capacity: 200.

The college has a well-furnished centrally air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of 504, with ultra-modern facilities like a hands-free LCD Projector, Audio Visual equipment, etc are housed in a Built-up Space of 699.06 Sq Mts with an investment of Rs. 2.2 Crores, to conduct academic programs like seminars, workshops, symposiums, Guest Lectures, etc.

The college has Public transport available in abundance for daily commutation. However, the management has provided adequate transport facilities to students as well as to staff to come to college from far-off places. Buses ply regularly from places like Vijayawada and also from local points of Eluru. The transport facility is extended to the student community to go on Local Tours, attend Off-Campus Recruitment Drives, Industrial Tours, etc. Management has provided three buses for these activities. One car is provided for the Principal.

The college has a branch of Andhra Bank is situated within the campus with a facility for students and staff members for maintaining different accounts like Saving Banks, Fixed Deposit, Recurring Deposit, etc. This fully computerized bank offers world-class services and gives the students and people on campus ease to handle their money. The ATM card facility is a boon to the students and faculty. It also provides a facility for parents and students to pay college fees, hostel charges, mess bills, University fees, etc

The college has excellent laboratory infrastructural facilities and the students can get first-hand experience as they are trained in laboratories to enhance their practical skills. The college has a modern state-of-the-art language lab to develop the communication and managerial skills of its students.
