SJR College for Women, Bangalore Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The College Library fully computerized with a barcode facility enabling quick and easy transactions. The library has an Open Access System and it serves as a Central Information Centre for students, Teachers, and Researchers. Providing rich collections of Books, Journals, CDs, Projects, etc., and also digital access to E-learning. The ground floor with a spacious Reading room and the basement as the Main Library with Circulation and Reference Sections. Also, a separate section for PG Course is maintained.

The college has excellent facilities for sports and games and offers several programs to promote students' overall personality development. 

The college has 11 well-equipped labs including 3 computer labs with 80 systems having the high-ended configuration, a business lab to teach practical aspects of commerce, and a psychology lab with all the learning and testing tools, which effectively meet the curriculum requirement. A computer center with an internet facility is also available for staff and students.

The college has auditoriums that are used for several occasions such as the Graduation ceremony, First-year inauguration, Fresher’s party, Felicitation functions, Alumni events, Major department level events, and others. It has a seating capacity of 500 students. Programs and competitions held under the auspices of the various forms are conducted to encourage students to bring out their latent talents and innate gifts. 

The college has Over its multi-dimensional history, it has served the educational needs of the city, state, and country and contributed to the growth and development of a wide variety of citizens. Students who have stepped out of the portals of their college have always returned to it with tremendous gratitude and joy to be part of the ever-widening vision of individual excellence and community development. They have become stakeholders, partners, and collaborators in the consistent renewal of the institution as it meets the challenges of a rapidly changing world. The motto of the college is to “Recreate IT”, the institution has always invited Alumni to reshape the ecology of learning and scholarship in order to develop a more equitable and just society. Their desire to contribute to the education of the marginalized and the downtrodden to access higher education, find employment opportunities, and develop into full citizens of society has urged the college to galvanize the alumni association. The alumni association continues to remain the major interface between the college and the world profoundly shaping and informing the continued enthusiasm with the SJR spirit and tradition. 

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has well-trained staff and a well-equipped laboratory. The laboratory contains the required chemicals, glass-wares, and other equipment.

The college has a canteen facility and an adequate arrangement is made to run a wholesome canteen for our students.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students. A lady doctor is in attendance in the college for 2 hours Monday through Friday during term days. 

The college has Gym facility for the students.
