Shir Lal Bahadur Shastri Government College is one of the best government medical colleges in Himachal Pradesh. Populrly known as NER Medical Chowk College. Since it offers only one stream, which I can currently see, is MBBS in Medicine and Health Sciences. However, if you have not yet decided to take admission in this college, I can only advice you to look at more popular and well known colleges because there are no detailed information about its placements, or peer reviews available on the internet which is generally not a good sign since you plant to move from 0.2m altitude to hills of Himachal Pradesh.

As far as facing difficulty due to hill stations, it is nothing unbearable. Season changes in North are more prominent. You can actually feel the season changing from the air chillness. However, the scenic beauty is something to look forward to. Mandi is one of the known hill stations that mainly people visit and is also located quite near to other well known hill stations such as Shimla.

I wish you best of luck.

Hey,

Last year at 471 marks, the rank was around 65801-73197. This year with 520 marks, your rank must be around 70000. So based on this, you have decent chances of getting SLBS Mandi under IP quota.

To get a complete list of colleges in which you can get MBBS/BDS seat, you can use NEET College Predictor https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hi there,

For your rank, the cut off rank for

  • SLBS Medical College, Mandi is approx 60,000
  • ESIC Medical College AND PGIMSR, Kolkata - 65,000

However, please note that these are according to the previous year trends and cut off varies every year depending on many factors but approximately it will be more or less same as above.

You can try our college predictor here for finding out the suitable college for you under your rank: https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hope that helped...

Good Luck !!

Hello,

As per your question, i would say that your marks are good but not good enough to get you a government college as the cut off remains high atleast more than 450+ this year.

But you can apply for state counseling(only if you have domicile) or aiq counseling for government mbbs or bds seat and you might have some chances to get the college as you have category of esic and there are seats reserved in it. So you might try but chances are not much for any government college and not even fot slbs college. But depends on seat to student ratio ss total 100 seats are there for mbbs so, it also depends on the cut off of your category in that college. Try out for the counseling.

Good luck

Dear candidate,

First of all you are resident of kerela so you cannot apply by state quota for himachal Pradesh college except for the mop up round. You might have applied by AIQ and you have got the result till now.

As far as mop up round is concerned, you have less chance of getting into government medical college or private college inspite of being in esip ip ward.

ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR COUNSELLING !

Dear Ram, if you are from Kerala and you want to applynfor a Government Medical College in HP, you should try under their 15% All India Quota. Now you havent mentioned yoir Category. Neverthless, 381 marks are too less for a seat under All India Quota. In 2018 under All India Quota, the cut offs for various categories in SLB Medical College have been as follows:

General Category: 555
SC: 453
ST: 416

This is 2018 data. This year the cut offs have gone way high. Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam

Hello Aspirant!

This year the admission cut-offs for medical colleges have gone very high. So a NEET UG score of 381 may not be eough to get you a seat, even under reserved category.
