Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College, Anandpur Sahib Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a well-equipped two-storeyed Girls’ Hostel to provide a safe and secure home away from home for girls coming from far-off areas. The hostel has indoor and outdoor sports facilities, an uninterrupted power supply, a medical facility, and 24-hour internet connectivity. The hostel premises are well-guarded and well-protected during and after college.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college library is the lifeline of an educational institution. Keeping this concept in mind, college management has duly invested in the library. The spacious building of the library provides an opportunity for the students to enhance their knowledge. It has more than 40,000 titles covering almost every subject. Many National, as well as International Journals, Magazines, and Periodicals, are subscribed. The newspapers in English, Punjabi, and Hindi are also made available to the students. The library provides a Book Bank facility under which books are issued to the students for a longer duration. The college library has the distinction of being the first library in the region to be computerized. Using the Library Automated software, the entire activities concerning the library stand automated. This has helped the library staff in serving the students more effectively. The support provided by library staff consists of Reprography services, Reference services, WEB OPAC services, Circulation services, and Referral services. The college has acquired the N-List Programme of INFLIBNET under which 6000 National and International Journals of repute and more than 31,35,000 ebooks are available to the students and faculty. There is an air-conditioned reading hall which adds to the uniqueness of our library and there are eight computers for students to access the internet, free of cost, during college working hours. Since the library is fully computerized and Wi-Fi enabled, facilities such as e-learning and reprography help to augment the teaching-learning process. The library also consists of more than 1,70,000 EBooks from the National Digital Library, IIT, Kharagpur.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has six fully Air Conditioned Computer labs having the latest Core 2 Duo, i3, and i5 systems and Cyberoam firewall. All the labs are duly networked as per category-6 specifications. The college holds licensed versions of all the required software. Well-equipped computer labs and Wifi campuses ensure the effective delivery of knowledge and information relevant to various courses.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has a fleet of four buses to enable the girl students to commute safely from nearby villages and small towns. This facility is available for students coming from Nangal, Nurpur Bedi, Kiratpur Sahib, and their neighboring areas. From this year onwards, this facility will be extended to Ropar and its surroundings.

The college provides Gym with believes in the idea that a sound mind always stays in a sound body, the latest well-equipped gymnasium has been prepared for the students where they can get themselves trained. The college has won several trophies, especially in weightlifting competitions at the university level. Therefore, to encourage the participation of the students in games such as bodybuilding, and weight lifting, the latest equipment like treadmills, adjustable bench presses, dumbbells, rods, and plates have been provided in the gymnasium so that the students can utilize their time for improving their strength.
