No data provided by the college for admission procedure for the latest year
The Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Management and Information Technology, also known as SGTBIMIT, is an affiliated college located in Delhi, offering undergraduate programs in management and information technology. The institute has a well-defined admission procedure, mainly based on the Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (IPU CET), conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
Generally, the admission cycle for SGTBIMIT commences in April-May every year, coinciding with the schedule of the IPU CET exam. The institute offers a number of undergraduate programs such as BBA, BCA, BBA in Banking and Insurance, and B.Com (Honours). Entrance criteria vary by program; for instance, candidates for BBA and BBA Banking and Insurance would have to clear the BBA CET, while BCA candidates must clear the BCA CET.
In order for those seeking admission into B.Com (Honours) to be accepted, they must likewise clear the entrance examination of the IPU CET. Most importantly, the admission procedure of the institute relies purely on a Vienna-based common counseling of admissions, where the merit obtained in entrance examinations is in prime consideration. This guarantees the selection of the most deserving candidates for the limited available seats.
Application Process
The application process for SGTBIMIT programmes includes the following:
1. Registration for IPU CET: Candidates must register for the appropriate IPU CET (BBA CET for BBA programs, BCA CET for BCA, and IPU CET for B.Com Honours) on the GGSIPU website.
2. Entrance exam: The candidate must appear for the entrance exam on the date specified for the exam.
3. Result declaration: await the declaration of the results for the examination by GGSIPU.
4. Counselling registration: Qualified candidates then must register for the counselling process organized by GGSIPU.
5. Document Verification: Attend the counselling session with documents that need to be verified. The documents typically include:
6. Seat Allotment: During the counselling session, seats will be allotted on the basis of the merit list and preferences of the candidate.
7. Fee Payment: If a seat is allotted in SGTBIMIT, the candidate shall have to pay the fee to confirm his/her admission.
8. Reporting to the Institute: After the payment of the fee, the candidates are required to report to SGTBIMIT on the given date along with all original documents for the finalization of admission formalities.
Degree wise Admission Process
BBA (including Banking and Insurance): Admission to the BBA programs at SGTBIMIT is conducted on the basis of BBA CET conducted by the GGSIPU. The institute offers 120 seats for the regular BBA program and 60 seats for BBA in Banking and Insurance. Both programs have a second shift, thereby potentially increasing the intake. Candidates must clear the BBA CET and get their seats allocated through the counseling process.
BCA: The BCA program at SGTBIMIT has an intake of 120 seats plus a second shift. Admission is done on the basis of BCA CET conducted by GGSIPU. Candidates are required to clear this examination and get themselves registered online for the counseling process.
B.Com (Honours): The institute offers 60 seats under the B.Com (Honours) silk. Admission is based on the result of the IPU CET. The candidate is required to clear the IPU CET in order to attend the counseling session for the allotment of a seat.

Hi,
If he is not interested in doing Law and want to pursue another course, he can apply for the course of his desire but he cannot get direct admission in second year in that particular course. He has to start his desired course from the first year itself.
There are no norms which allows you to do this thing.
Best Wishes
