Sri Jayadev College of Education and Technology, Bhubaneswar Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students. First Aid facility is available with the Red Cross and a Dispensary exists in close proximity Ambulance facility is available on call.

The college has a gymnasium that has been set up under the UGC assistance where the students go for floor and bar exercises as well as other fitness enhancement exercises.

The college library has a collection of about 19,489 books, consisting of text and reference books, which the researchers can use as per their needs. Though we don’t have a good collection of journals, we are subscribed to INFLIBNET which provides a facility to the faculty members for accessing many e-journals. Besides, an internet facility is available to the teachers for collecting research materials from various sources books should be taken out of the Library without the knowledge of the Librarian until it has been properly entered in the Loan Register and the entry attested by the borrower. Each borrower must examine the condition of the book before leaving the issue counter. In case mutilations are discovered later the presumption of guilt will be against the borrower and would make him liable to such penalties as may be imposed by the Principal. Books should be returned within the period allowed to a borrower which is fifteen days from the date of issue for the students and one month from the date of issue for others. In the case of students, who do not return the Library books within the time allowed a fine of 25 paise per book per day will be charged till the return of such books.

The college playground is being maintained to provide sports facilities to the students.

The College is having BSNL broadband internet connection. The Administrative Block, SAMS Centre, NAAC Room, Library and Computer Lab are provided with internet facilities through a LAN connection. The College looks forward to having a Wi-Fi campus with assistance from the UGC during the current year. The Center presently has eight systems, which are used by teachers and students. The practical classes of IT and Mathematics Honours students are also held here. The college has the proposal to introduce a Diploma course of three months duration and the students can be admitted to the course as a twinning programme in addition to their UG programme. For this purpose, a number of computers will be purchased for the use of the students. The other proposal is to make the college campus Wi-Fi enabled so that students and staff members can avail the internet facility within the college.

The college has A Canteen has been functioning on the college campus that meets the nutritional requirements of the staff, students, and visitors during office hours.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The College has an Alumni Association, although it is yet to be registered. Some of the alumni of the College are now influential in political circles and they have succeeded in making financial allocations from the MPLAD funds towards infrastructural development in the College. The alumni also play a role in maintaining campus discipline.
