Srikishan Sarda College, Hailakandi Admission Process

Srikishan Sarda College is a co-educational institution for imparting education. The college is affiliated to Assam University, Silchar. It offers multiple undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts, sciences, and commerce streams. The process of admissions is through merit, based on the government policy for reservation at Srikishan Sarda College. BA (Hons) Programmes: Srikishan Sarda College grants BA (Hons) Programmes in subjects including English, Bengali, Economics, Political Science, Philosophy, Sanskrit, History and Manipuri. Admission into these programs is through merit.

  3. BA Economics (Hons) : 60 seats
  4. BA Political Science (Hons) : 80 seats
  5. BA Philosophy (Hons) : 60 seats
  6. BA Sanskrit (Hons) : 35 seats
  7. BA History (Hons): 55 seats
  8. BA Manipuri (Hons) : 30 seats
  9. BA Persian (Hons): 60 seats

B.Sc (Hons) Programs: Curriculum in B.Sc (Hons) is done at the college in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Zoology, and Botany based on merit listing. Programs to be conducted under each intake capacity are designated as follows:

  1. B.Sc Mathematics (Hons): 45 seats
  2. B.Sc Physics (Hons): 45 seats
  3. B.Sc Chemistry (Hons): 45 seats
  4. B.Sc Statistics (Hons): 45 seats
  5. B.Sc Zoology (Hons): 60 seats
  6. B.Sc Botany (Hons): 60 seats

B.Com Programs: Besides B.Com (Hons) based on Accountancy, Srikishan Sarda College admits candidates on merit as per a capacity of 200. 

General Degree Programs: General degree programs are offered in Arts, Science, and Commerce:

  1. BA: 250 seats
  2. B.Sc: 130 seats
  3. B.Com: 200 seats

Postgraduate Programs: With the recent introduction of several postgraduate programs, Srikishan Sarda College bids adieu to the most recent Master's in:

  1. MSW (Master of Social Work)
  2. MA English
  3. MA Political Science
  4. MA Education
  5. MA Economics
  6. MA Journalism and Mass Communication.

Although the above are merit-based for these courses, there is no particular mention of intake capacity.

Diploma Programs: The college also imparts diploma programs in Yoga and Library and Information Science among others. Like others, these two programs are also subject to merit-based admission.

Good college to study in Hailakandi

Academics

The college curriculum is very updated as per the current standard. The faculties are so very experienced teacher and they teaches to the understanding of all students. Also seminars are conducted at regular intervals.

Not a good college to study

Academics

The course curriculum is not updated and only emphasize is made only to theorical concept.The faculties should update and more focus should be given to practical knowledge fthe or the benefit of the students.
