St. Aloysius College inThrissur, is renowned with respect to coeducation institutions of Kerala. Diversified undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Sciences, Commerce, and Management streams are offered by the college. Admission Process of St. Aloysius College is aimed at selecting meritorious candidates for various Academic Programs. The college follows a merit-based admission system for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Candidates are short-listed on the basis of their qualifying examination performance. 

The admission cycle usually commences after announcement of 10+2 results for undergraduate and after completing bachelor degree exams for postgraduate courses. Undergraduate programs call for students who have completed their 10+2 in one of the recognized boards. Considering marks on the qualifying examination for merit list preparations. In the case of the postgraduate program, a candidate should have completed a relevant bachelor degree from a recognized university.

Application Process

St. Aloysius College, Thrissur, follows the procedure mentioned below to apply:

1. Notification: The college publishes admission notifications through its official website (https://www.staloysiuselt.edu.in/) and in local newspapers.

2. Application Form: Candidates can either download the application form from the college website or collect it from the admission office. The application form must be filled with personal and academic information, which must be accurate.

3. Document Submission: Along with the completed application form, candidates must submit the following documents:

• Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10+2 for UG courses, Bachelor's degree for PG courses)
• Transfer Certificate
• Conduct Certificate
• Caste Certificate (if applicable for reservation)
• Other relevant certificates as specified by the college

4. Application Submission: Completed applications, along with supporting documents, should be submitted to the office of the college admissions within a stipulated date.

5. Merit List Preparation: The college prepares merit lists for each program based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.

6. Counseling and Seat Allotment: Counseling is conducted for the shortlisted candidates, merit-wise and based on availability of seats.

Degree Wise Admission Process

B.Com programs: B.Com programs with specializations in Finance, Banking and Insurance, Cooperation and Computer Applications are offered in St. Aloysius College. Admission will be through merit, based on the marks obtained by the candidate in the qualifying 10+2 examination. B.Com Finance has an intake of 60 seats and B.Com Banking and Insurance, B.Com Cooperation and B.Com Computer Applications has an intake of 40 seats each.

BA Programs: The college offers BA programs in Economics, English and Multimedia. Admission for BA Economics strictly follows the merit criterion with an intake of 60 seats. For BA English (Unaided) and BA Multimedia (Unaided) the college has 24 seats each. Selection is done on the basis of qualifying examination marks.

B.Sc Programs: The B.Sc courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Psychology and Botany are offered at St. Aloysius College. Admission to these programs is based on merit. The intake of students varies in different specializations: 30 seats in each of B.Sc Mathematics, Physics and Zoology; and 24 seats for B.Sc Psychology and Botany. The admission procedure for B.Sc Chemistry follows similar merit-based criteria.

BBA Programs: The college offers BBA in Finance and Human Resource Management. Both these programs are unaided with a merit-based admission process. For BBA Finance, 40 seats are available, and for BBA Human Resource Management, 30 seats.

B.Voc Programs: St. Aloysius College offers B.Voc in Jewellery Designing, Gemmology, and Nursery and Ornamental Fish Farming, with each program giving intake of 50 seats assigned through merit.

MA Programs: St. Aloysius offers MA programs in Economics and English. The admission for MA programs is based on marks obtained in the relevant bachelor's degree. Intake is 15 seats for MA Economics and 10 seats for MA English.

M.Sc Programs: St. Aloysius College offers M.Sc in Zoology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Statistics. The admission in all the programs is on an unaided basis and follows a merit admission system with each M.Sc program offering 12 seats for admission. 

M.Com: The college has an M.Com program in Financial Management (Unaided) with the admission capacity of 20 on a merit basis.
