The infrastructure is quite beautiful, atleast whatever was originally built. The new hostel building is pathetic and needs to be given a makeover because all it does is give eery vibes. The library and canteen are great nevertheless.
Xavier's is a decent college which refuses to adapt to the latest technology in order to improve the manner in which education is imparted. This is probably because they want to show how old the institution is!
The quality of placements is generally pretty great with multiple well-known international multi-national corporations coming in to recruit graduates. The salary package is also decent starting from around 6 lac (not sure of the exact value) going all the way upto 15lac (again not sure of the exact amount)
The college more or less has all the amenities. Infrastructure wise the college is good. the physical Chemistry lab has all the basic instruments but yeah because of the poor maintenance most of them doesn't work. The food isn't much hygienic as home but yeah is satisfactory enough for hostilities to survive.
The quality of teaching is really good in the Department, also the teachers are very much knowledgeable and helpful. The curriculum is quite updated but yeah one has to do a lot of studies from other sources to appear in the interviews. Also the faculty will give their best to make your basics strong.
Placements aren't that good for the Bsc students and also the packages are not very high. But it's also true that a simple BSc degree won't fetch you a very good package, keeping that in mind no one complains. And can be said as satisfactory.
The college charges a very small amount of fees as compared to what it gives us back in return. Also one can avail for a number of scholarships. Thus it gives opportunities to one and all.
Campus is very small not like the universities but is one of the best because of the people inside it. The more you interact, the more you explore and the more active you are. Also the teachers are always ready to bond with you. And location wise it's the safest.
This College is considered to be one of the best colleges in India and it Strongly holds this true. The college has almost all the facilities one wishes to have from Labs, Libraries, Sports Centre to Hostel. The Libraries highly give the vibe to read and the Labs are the ones which might attract u the most. The Gymkhana is an amazing place to be and all classrooms have Smartboards and the college consists of free Wi-Fi as well. The Food is hygienic and delicious
I'm Studying BSc in Zoology as this is the best college for it in my opinion. The teaching faculty for my subjects are amazing and their teaching skills are amazingly awesome. The curriculum is updated everytime and includes all the recent developments in the field. The teachers of Xaviers not only Explain the topics clear cut but also give you the confidence to face challenges in the future.
The College has a placement cell for the same. Every year 80 to 90 % of students are placed based on their academic excellence and their interests. This college has one of the best placement offers and exchange programs for students
My Course in the college is Aided so my fees for the course are 7,000 Re per year. It is completely worth it as U are getting one of the best facilities than any other college
The College has a Number of fests the main one being Malhar. The fests are one of the best part to be in Xaviers other than Studies and Sports
The food is not very hygienec in the canteen. The college has most of the necessary equipment required for education. The facilities in the classroom are old which match the architectural style of the college .
I'm currently in fyjc arts because I'm interested in becoming a professor of English but the quality of education is not that great for junior College atleast as the teachers don't know how to make the subject interesting or fun for the students studying it
The placements for degree college are good as far as I've heard from seniors in various degrees. They might not be the best but as long as you're talented enough you'll get a job from on campus placements
My college campus life is really great as there are lot of things to do for the students like different events and fests. There are open mic organizations lots of places to chill around campus with friends and much more
Every college has its ups and downs and so does xaviers but I would still recommend it to people as it gives us an all around development and makes us a better person
The college campus is a well known HERITAGE site with the library staircase giving us the HOGWARTS feel. Hygiene and cleanliness is maintained properly in the campus. Classrooms are proper. The collection of books in the library is mire than enough. Food in the canteen is also good. The college Gymkhana is also an amazing place to go to play a friendly game or workout. There is no girls hostel. But other than that the infrastructure of the college is just amazing.
I am an FYBSc student with subject combination of PCM. The professors are quite helpful and cooperative. The curriculum is proper. We as Physics students have project work every semester. This helps us grasp the concepts in an advanced way. All the other departments are also amazing.
Being an FY student, I do not have much experience with placements but many of my seniors have gotten into some amazing MNCs. The salary package given was also good. So I guess the college placement is quite good.
Yes it is totally worth it.
The college campus is amazing. It is quite aesthetic. The Quad and the Terrace are amazing spots to have a good photoshoot. Xavier's is also an ever-busy college with one fest or another going on all the time. One can enhance their capabilities through such fests and also make amazing friends. Social life in college is also great. One can easily fall in love with this college.
The infrastructure is quite good with all the necessary amenities. The collection of books in library is more than enough. Hygiene is top notch. Class rooms are proper ventilated and the whole environment is quite peaceful.
The psychology department of xavier's is really good. Professors are very cooperative and push you to achieve more than your potential. It would be better if they would start offering a masters course too.
Placements here are not that good. Some companies do visit to the campus but there are hardly any placements or they dont offer any good package. So it is average in terms of placements according to my personal experience.
Yes its worth it.
You will love it.

Dear applicant as per the genuine entrance exams syllabus pattern there are also entrance exams carried out by St. Xavier's and Jai Hind Institute, but for the non resident of Mumbai. Now based on the knowledge that you acquired in your undergraduate degree and the subject in which you wish to pursue the Masters, the entrance is taken. If you have UG degree in the same subject that is an added advantage and you can positively expect the general knowledge based questions on Data Analytics portions. You additionally require some basic knowledge of
1. Mathematics

Good luck!!
