St Xavier's College of Education, Pudukkottai Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a collection of 5,800 books, 12 journals, 10 magazines, and 80 back volumes for use by student teachers and teachers. Xerox facility is also available. There is a book-bank to help economically poor students.

The college has equipped laboratory facilities in the disciplines of English (language lab), Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological  Science, and Home Science for training the student teachers. We have also a well-established Psycology laboratory and practicals are conducted for a better understanding of the school children for the purpose of guidance and counseling.

The college has a well-furnished computer center with Eight personal computers to impart computer skills to student teachers so that they use these skills in their teaching-learning process.The students are trained in preparing CAI packages and in using the internet.

The college has indoor and outdoor games and exercises such as running, jogging, skipping, weight lifting, etc. There are adequate sports equipment and good playgrounds. Yoga and meditation exercises are also given. The students are encouraged to take part in regional and state-level competitions
