Subhas Chandra Basu B.Ed. Training College, Heria, was established in the year 2007. It is situated at Jararnagar, Heria, in the district of Purba Medinipur in West Bengal. This college is affiliated and functions under the recognition of the National Council for Teacher Education. It belongs to the co-education college and caters to only teacher education sections. At the time of its establishment, the college acquired the status of the degree college on 2.18 acres of land. The staff count is 17, and it enrols 293 students every year, which is quite an appreciable number. The college provides two full-time, residential initial teaching courses: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Education (M.Ed.).

The college has a number of facilities aimed at making the lives of its students more fruitful and productive. The library houses the very lifeblood of academic requirements and contains a reference section, journal area, and a reading room accommodating 30 students at a time. It has a large library, which contains a large number of encyclopedias, reference books, and current periodicals which can be a repository for these budding teachers. The institution has also prepared the subject-based laboratories that students can practically use to have some experience in the particular field. For the maintenance of the physical body and well-being, Subhas Chandra Basu B.Ed. Training College has sports to balance education. The health centre covers some basic first-aid treatments to students for various medical needs on campus. The college has good IT infrastructure that supports new teaching methodologies; students are kept updated with technological improvements in education. The institute has hostel facilities for supporting boys as well as girls, which aim to offer homely and healthy accommodation that is very favourable to provide a good study environment.
