Sushila Devi Bansal College of Technology, Indore Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Sushila Devi Bansal College of Technology (SDBCT), an educational institute growing over the years, lies in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The college admits students purely on merit bases, national or state level criteria.  For admission to B.Tech programs, the admission authority is the Directorate of Technical Education, Bhopal, which allocates ranks based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. A lot of these exam takers, however, from across the National such as middle and upper levels are selected using the JEE ranks, and have a fairly undifferentiated environment. This means that while JEE Main takes place in January, the second opportunity to apply is in April. Similarly, postgraduate engineering admissions with the master's degree of engineer will also consider the GATE exam results from DTE, Bhopal. 

Candidates interested can submit their Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores or apply as non-GATE candidates, following the schedule determined by the M.P. Professional Examination Board (MPPEB). The exam is scheduled every year in February with results coming out in March. Admissions into MBA courses will also be conducted under the DTE and MET-infrastructure norms by the Professional Exam Board, Government of M.P., Bhopal. The MET exam usually holds in May or June. The process of admission would depend on the course and the entrance exam offered.

Application Process

Application processes at SDBCT depend on the program:

For B.Tech programs:

1. Qualify JEE Main examination.
2. Register for counselling through the Directorate of Technical Education, Bhopal.
3. Fill out the online application form on DTE's website.
4. Upload required documents including JEE Main score card, 10th or 12th mark sheets, and other necessary certificates.
5. Pay application fee as specified by DTE.
6. Contribute in the counselling process and have SDBCT and desired courses selected.
7. If allotted seat, then report to SDBCT for document verification and deposit fee.

For MBA:

1. Sit for the Management Entrance Test (MET) given by MPPEB.
2. Register for DTE counselling following announcement of MET results.
3. Fill out the online application form available on the DTE website.
4. Upload required documents, including MET score card, graduation mark sheets, and other necessary certificates.
5. Pay the application fee as specified by DTE.
6. Participate in the counselling process and select SDBCT.
7. If shortlisted, attend any additional selection rounds (e.g., group discussion, personal interview) at SDBCT.
8. If selected, complete the admission formalities at the college.

With respect to M.E. programs:

1. For the GATE qualified candidates:

• Register for DTE counseling with valid GATE score.
• Fill out the online application form on the DTE website.
• Upload all the necessary documents that include the GATE score card, B.E./B.Tech degree certificate and other required documents.

2. For non-GATE candidates:

• Apply separately as per the schedule laid down by MPPEB.
• Give entrance examination conducted by the MPPEB.

 3. Go on with the counseling process and have selected SDBCT and preferred M.E. program.

4. If allotted a seat, report to SDBCT for document verification and admission formalities.

Degree wise Admission Process

With regards to B.Tech, SDBCT conducts B.tech Programs with 180 B.tech seats for Computer Science and Engineering, 120 for Information Technology, 60 for Mechanical Engineering, 30 for Electronics and Communication Engineering and Civil Engineering (30 seats). Admission will be based on JEE Main ranks, as per the rules framed by CBSE New Delhi. Eligibility generally involves passing 10+2 in Physics and Mathematics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.

An MBA program is presented by the college with an intake of 180 students. Admission is generally conducted through the DTE, on the basis of an applicant's rank in the Management Entrance Test (MET) governed by MPPEB. Shortlisted candidates may be required to get involved with other selection rounds like group discussions and personal interviews.

In addition to the above, there is also a BBA program offered by SDBCT with 180 seats. Admission into this program may be by some other test or on merit in the qualifying examination (10+2).

The college has M.E. programs in Computer Science and Engineering with 18 seats, Thermal Systems and Design in 18, and Digital Communications with 9 places. Admissions are done through DTE Bhopal considering GATE scores or a separate entrance examination for non-GATE candidates.
