TMC Tezpur Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Tezpur Medical College, Tezpur (TMC Tezpur) is a world-class government medical school in Bihaguri, Tezpur, Assam. The institute is affiliated to the Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences and National Medical Commission. TMC Tezpur is very strict with its merit-based admission procedure for its different medical courses.

The admission process at TMC Tezpur generally starts in May-June for the August-September starting academic year. Undergraduate courses such as MBBS are admitted based on NEET-UG scores. Postgraduate studies in MD and MS are admitted through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET-PG).

For MBBS admission, the candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as mandatory subjects from a well-known board. A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam is generally needed. Postgraduate candidates should have passed their MBBS degree from a well-known university.

Application Process

Application process for TMC Tezpur is different according to the course:

For MBBS:

1. Register and appear in the NEET-UG exam.
2. Clear NEET-UG by obtaining the cut-off marks.
3. Register for Assam state counseling process (for Assam state quota seats) or All India Quota counseling.
4. Fill college and course preferences during counseling.

Degree wise Admission Process

MBBS: TMC Tezpur has 125 MBBS seats. Admission will be strictly done on NEET-UG merit. Students should pass NEET-UG and then undergo counseling process for allotment of the seats. Program duration is 5.5 years, out of which a year is compulsorily one-year rotatory internship.

MD/MS Courses: TMC Tezpur provides several postgraduate courses having different seat distributions:
