TMM College of Nursing, Pathanamthitta Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has a Nursing library that has been considered the soul of advanced learning. It covers about 3000 sq. ft. of the total area. The role has been to provide access to the relevant information to the members of the academic community for the successful procurement of academic programs. Library collections are evaluated continuously against standard bibliographies and against records of their use to add collections. The library is fully automated and has a comprehensive and well-rounded collection of about 4800 books shelved using the Dewey Decimal Classification, both national and international journals in print and online versions, magazines, newspapers, and other reading materials. They are kept in different sections on the basis of their categorization. A good collection of students’ research works is also maintained. The back volumes of the journals are bound and kept separately for ready reference. 

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has always been a very technically advanced field. Computers are an integral part of the hospital and private practice culture, and thus of the nursing profession. Computer systems are used for Patient Administration, Electronic Medical Records, and Interoffice communication, and other applications. 

Computer Lab develops a basic understanding of the uses of computers and their applications in nursing. The objective is to assist and enhance the possibilities of our nursing students in succeeding with their assignments. The other major objective is for our students to carry out deeper research for their projects.

Computer Lab at TMM College of Nursing is equipped with sufficient computer systems at a ratio of 1:5 and supported with high bandwidth internet speed; there is a UPS system that ensures an uninterrupted power supply. The college is also Wi-Fi Enabled.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has a boys’ hostel situated in a very cool & serene area on the campus, within walking distance from the college. Two to three students are accommodated in a room with the necessary amenities. There are three Wardens who with their motherly yet stern actions help the students to lead a well-disciplined life. The wardens are also a source of spiritual encouragement.

Caterers are appointed who prepare food in the College kitchen and meals are served in the dining area which is located on the ground floor of the hostel. There are four meals per day breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner. The menu is decided in the meeting having SNA (Student Nursing Association) representatives, SNA teaching faculty leads, the Principal, the Administrator, and the caterer. Every three months a review is done.

Students have facilities for recreation, strict study hours, batch-wise prayers &other spiritual activities. The management lays special emphasis on the cleanliness and hygiene of the Hostel. STP (Sewerage Treatment Plant), Biogas plant, and Incinerator provide for meeting environmental regulations.

Mobile usage: Currently as per the discussion and agreement reached in the parent-teacher association (PTA) meeting held periodically, mobiles are not allowed to be kept by the students. The wardens facilitate students to call their parents on designated days and at the designated times unless urgency warrants.

TMM Hostel is a ragging-free campus. The principal, Administrator, and Board of Management are fully authorized to change the Rules and Regulations of the Hostel at any time without prior notice.
