TIST Ernakulam Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college provides a well-furnished boys hostel for both graduate and postgraduate students. The boys' hostel has facilities like a mess, study rooms, TV, recreation, internet, medical and sports facilities.

Toc H Institute of Science and Technology, Ernakulam has separate hostels for the safe and comfortable stay of female students. The hostel is well furnished with facilities like a mess, study room, recreation hall, wifi and medical facility. The hostels function under the supervision of the warden and resident tutors. 

The college provides first aid and medical facilities to its students at affordable rates. The hostels also have ambulance facilities to handle medical emergencies.

TIST Ernakulam has a well-maintained health centre and multi-gym facility for its students. The gymnasium has 12 stations, and multi gym and treadmill facilities available for students. 

TIST Ernakulam has a well-stocked central library facility along with a departmental library for its students. The digital library provides students with access to different E-journal and E-learning materials. 

The college provides both indoor and outdoor sports facilities to its students. The sports facilities include cricket and football grounds along with volleyball, basketball, badminton and tennis courts with track & field activities. The indoor games facilities are provided for table tennis, badminton, chess and carrom. The college also provides sports training facilities for its students.

The College provides two canteens inside the college campus for its students and staff members. The college canteen is managed by the TIST Employees Cooperative Society. The canteen serves healthy and fresh food at affordable rates.  

The college has three indoor stadiums on the campus for conducting academic and cultural events. The college also has a 1200-seater indoor stadium. The college auditorium is equipped with an audio-visual aid facility. 

TIST Ernakulam provides transport facilities to its students with well-maintained buses. The bus facility is available for students and staff members. The bus route covers areas in Ernakulam like Eramalloor, Aroor, Fort Kochi, Edacochi, Njarackal, Kalloor Kalamassery, Aluva, Eloor, Kolenchery & Muvattupuzha and areas in Kottayam district like Kaduthuruthy, Kurupumthara, Thalayolaparambu & Vaikom. 

The college has a strong network with its alumni working in well-reputed organisations. The alumni association conducts regular meetings and helps the students with career guidance. 

The College Campus provides 49 Mbps high-speed internet LAN and a 24×7 Wi-Fi facility in the college campus for the student and faculty members to avail seamless internet connectivity any time, at any place, in the college, and hostel. The college Firewall blocks restricted and unwanted sites.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members. The college also provides accommodation facilities for visiting faculty and other guests visiting the campus. 

The college provides well-equipped laboratories for different departments to its students. The laboratories provide academic and research facilities to its students. 

The college provides smart classrooms to provide a healthy learning environment for its students. The classrooms are equipped with facilities like a video/data projector, a DVD combo unit and a slide projector with an internet facility. The classrooms also provide connections for laptops, computers and video projectors. 

Training and Placement is into building relations with the stalwarts of the industry and the upcoming new startups in the industry.   We give exposure to students in cutting-edge technologies like Blockchain, Data Analytics, etc. The  Department identifies industry experts to become part of the Academic Advisory Committee and helps student chapters like IEEE in organizing their placement counseling seminars and helps them invite the CEOs of companies. It also helps in organizing Placement Training Programs in coordination with various agencies like Konfidence, Insight JobGuru, etc. It is a matter of great pride that above 90% of our eligible students have been placed with top-notch MNCs like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, etc.

The “Smart Classroom” is a dynamic learning environment that has been equipped with a video/data projector, a DVD combo unit, an overhead transparency projector, and a slide projector. Every department has the facility of a Smart Classroom.  These classrooms have connections for laptops, computers campus network/Internet access, and a smart panel that allows easier access and control of video projectors.
