Totsol Educational Academy, North 24 Parganas Admission 2025: Dates, Registration, Fees, Eligibility

Initially established for the training of teachers at various levels of education, Totsol Educational Academy is an affiliated college in North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. The merit-based admission process applies to the two undergraduate programs in teacher education, and it uses the marks from the qualifying examination and/or entrance tests, in accordance with the State Government, Union Territory administration, and the respective policies of the affiliated University.

Approval from the National Council for Teachers Education (NCTE) defines the standards maintained by the academy for the purpose of conducting quality teacher training programs.

The eligibility criteria for the various educational programs at Totsol Educational Academy rely on the guidelines prescribed by the NCTE and the affiliated University. For the D.El.Ed program, candidates are generally required to have completed their higher secondary education (10+2) from a recognized board, and a bachelor's degree in the relative subject stands as basic eligibility for the B.Ed program.

Application Process

The application procedure of Totsol Educational Academy consists of the following:

1. Advertisement of Admission: The beginning of the admission procedure is announced by the academy on the website and through various media sources.

2. Application Form: The candidate fills up the application form, which may either be available online through the academy's website or to be obtained from the admissions office.

3. Submission of Documents: All necessary documents, along with the duly filled application form, should be submitted, namely:

• Mark sheets of qualifying examinations (10th, 12th, and graduation if applicable)
• ID proof
• Recent passport-size photographs
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Any other relevant documents as mentioned by the academy

4. Entrance Examination: Candidates may be required to appear for an entrance examination depending on the course and current admission policy.

ITOTSOL's B.Ed program consists of 50 seats, with an intake as approved by the academy. The B.Ed course is conducted on a merit basis with the consideration of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection process is governed by the policies of the State government, Union Territory government, and the affiliated University. Any eligible candidates with a bachelor's degree in the relevant subject can apply for this program.

The D.El.Ed also has 50 seats with the admission process being merit-based, with regard to marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The selection process, however, is governed by the policies of the state government. Candidates who have had their higher education(10+2) would generally be accepted into this program.
