Dr. BRAM Teaching Hospital, Agartala, and Tripura Medical College is a self-funded medical college certified by National Medical Commission (NMC). The college has a stringent admission process based on national norms to select quality individuals for its medical studies.
The admission time for Tripura Medical College is generally in sync with the national medical calendar of admissions. For undergraduate admissions, the procedure would typically begin after the declaration of results for NEET-UG, whereas for postgraduate admissions, the procedure follows the schedule of the NEET-PG examination.
For MBBS, the main program with 100 seats, the qualification is successful completion of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. For MD/MS Courses:
1. Clear NEET-PG exam with a valid mark.
2. Get yourself registered for the counseling process as instructed by the concerned authorities.
3. Choose Tripura Medical College and the desired postgraduate course during counseling.
4. Report to the college in case of selection for document verification and admission process.
5. Finish the admission process by paying fees and producing all documents.
Degree wise Admission Process
MBBS: The college has 100 seats in the MBBS course. Admission is decided based on the performance of the candidate in NEET-UG. All the seats are under the Private Quota and are filled based on the All India Rank given by CBSE for NEET-UG. Admission is very competitive, given that the seats are limited.
MD General Medicine: The admission for this postgraduate course is 2 seats. Admission is based on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduates (NEET-PG). The candidate should have passed their MBBS degree to be considered for this course.
MS ENT: There are 2 MS ENT seats. Admission is as for other postgraduate courses, on the basis of NEET-PG performance. The candidate should have an MBBS degree from a recognized college.
MD Pathology: There is 1 MD Pathology seat. Admission is by NEET-PG, and the candidate holding an MBBS degree can apply.
MD Pharmacology: 1 seat is kept vacant in MD Pharmacology in the college. Admission is done in the same way as other postgraduate programs, with the NEET-PG marks being the major basis of the selection.

In neet 2019, 251 marks was the lowest marks that was required for st category for getting a mbbs seat in a government medical college under Tripura state quota and it was for Agartala Government Medical College, Agartala

But, cut off marks keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.
