NALSAR Hyderabad

The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) was established in 1998 by a Statute of the State of Andhra Pradesh. Since its inception, the University has been home to vital conversations on law and justice.

It is a UGC approved Government law College with the rank of 3rd in all over India.

The placements at NALSAR University of Law are handled by the Recruitment Co-ordination Committee (RCC). The university has a separate RCC for B.A. L.L.B (Hons) and L.L.M courses. As per the NALSAR University of Law placement report 2019-20 (NIRF report), 110 students from UG 5 year courses were eligible for placements. In the year 2019-20, a total of 75 UG 5 year programmes students got placed and were offered a median salary of Rs. 16,50,000 per annum.  and for PG students Median salary offered is Rs. 8,50,000 in which total of 45 students out of 64 students got placement according to 2020 report.

The campus of NALSAR University of Law has a number of facilities for students. The university also has modern infrastructure at the campus. NLU Hyderabad facilities are a library, gym, auditorium, cafeteria, wifi etc

Osmania College of Law

University College of Law, Osmania University, Hyderabad was established in the year 1918 and completed 100 years journey in 2018. Law department came into existence in the year 1923.

The college has the facility of the library, hostel, canteen and seminar hall. It also provides facilities of sports to promote physical and extracurricular activities among students. It also provides the mock courtroom for the students to practice the court session in a practical way .

The College has established a Placement Cell and appointed a placement officer who takes care of all the placements. placement offered by various law firms such as LPO, BPO, and Senior High Court Advocates Offices.

According to previous year cutoffs-

1)For OC category male the last rank was 87

2)For ST category male the last rank was 271

3)For BC-A male the last rank was 589

4)For BC-B male the last rank was 373

But the cutoffs change every year so these are not the final cutoffs and may vary so I recommend to try scoring as much as possible. For seeing the rank of more categories you can visit the below link:

Osmania University

LLB Eligibility-

A candidate for admission to LLB course has to qualify 10+2/Intermediate and the Law Common Entrance Examination (LAWCET) for that academic year.

You haven't mentioned your category assuming that you belong to general category. The cut off in 2019 to get admission in University College of Law, Osmania University was 23 for general category candidate. Considering the previous year cut off it is difficult to get seat in the preferred University. The category wise cut off is given below

  • SC:83
  • ST:88
  • BC-A:58
  • BC-B: 36
  • BC-D: 47
  • BC-E: 38

Cut off may increase or decrease depending on the number of candidates qualified, difficulty of exam and number of seats available etc.

Yes obviously. You can pursue LLB course after completing your 4 years engineering degree also. Actually in India the law degree course are of two types, one is 5 years BA LLB course and another is 3 years LLB course.so you can easily option out for 3 years LLB course at law colleges like

  • government law college Mumbai
  • Indian law school Pune
  • various Delhi university colleges
  • BHU
  • Indian law institute nalsar etc

Hello,

Osmania university Hyderabad offers BA LLB courses through TS LAWCET exam. The course is of three years (full time). The eligibility criteria states that the candidates must have passed their higher secondary examination from a recognized board. The regular fees ranges up-to Rs 12500 for the course.

If you are talking about LLB ,then NO. You can not obtain law degree through distance mode.

Also Bar council of India don't recognize law learned from distance mode and you won't get registered.

But if you want to join other diploma courses in various specialisations like MBL, human rights, IPR, etc. You can choose them from various universities providing them.
