The college was established in 1957. The institute was formerly known as Udupi Law College. The college is a unit of Dr. T.M.A. Pai Foundation. The institute is recognised by University Grants Commission under sections 2(F) and 12(B) of UGC Act 1956 and Bar Council of India. VBCL offers 2 courses in the stream of Law. BA LLB/LLB candidates have to apply online on the website of the college and submit an online application.
VBCL Udupi admission will be based on the merit of the qualifying exam. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the merit of the qualifying exam. Further, the shortlisted aspirants will be called for an interview. Candidates have to qualify for the interview. Final admission will be offered on the basis of merit and performance in the interview. VBCL Udupi eligibility criteria should be satisfied before going further into the seat allotment and selection process. Moot court and other needed facilities for the students in the law department are also provided in the VBCL campus facilities in order to give experience and better teaching to the students.

I will compare both these colleges for you.
Vaikunta Baliga Law College- It is the only Law college in Udupi district. The college is one of the best colleges under karnataka state law University. The fees is around 22000 for the first year and internship is compulsory for every student however mostly there is no stipend. As for the placements, the college doesnt really have aplacement cell hence the students have to go under any senior lawyer to work as a practicing lawyer or may be appointed in major companies as a legal officers depending on where the student applies.
ULC Bengaluru- Since it is a state collegeg the fees is around 82000 per year for merit students and around 70% students get placed with the highest package offered being around 69000 per month and the lowest package offered being around 15000 per month. Most choose to work as independent practitioners in high courts or public sectors like HAL, NAL, BHEL or corporate sectors depending on the skill.
